Because you don't do that as there is a high chance that you can wipe something else and given how low DR's stats are there really should not be a success there.

Depends on how you deal with stats.

I see the Magic stat as being a measure of willpower coupled with sheer magical force.

Also she took most of the backlash on herself.

seeing as she's ALREADY pretty fucked up, it can't make it much worse.

I'd use mind for mental things like a persons will. Seeing as that's one of Kyle's highest stats I think he would be really hard to break.

I see mind as more intellect, while Magic is how easy it is for you to force your will on the world.

I think that if it was an actual roll, it would be Magic vs Mind for the rewrite since thoughts were induced and removed by magic.
I personally though that Mind was how resistant a person was to psychological attacks or emotional shock  as well as magic accuracy which was why I made it one of Andromalius's highest stats.
I don't think mind would be needed to aim at something that congealed over the entire mental landscape.

Yeah, Scap tends to do it that if you can manage to conceivably nuke a whole area, not only does mind not really matter so much, but the target doesn't get their dodge.

Yeah, Selina let the thought enter her mind since she didn't know it was Fifty Shades of Red. If Demons Run was trying to force it into her mind, that would probably be reliant on Mind.
