Well, its Selina's willpower to control her transformation helping Angel's already potent mind state to overcome Nuriel. I think how you've done it so far works well.

maybe a little, but its mostly due to the annoying magic of timezones. This is one of those things that makes me wish the world was flat.

Judging by what is happening right now, perhaps the group should go and find a magical girl who can be powered up by awkwardness or at least physically manifest it because at this rate, the sheer awkwardness could be used as a WMD if it became palpable.
