I was actually thinking about the same thing. Well, let's see how this goes.
Burning down the house can't be that much worse than having a hole made in it, right?

I've got a theoretical setup for FMBs in both forms.

Normal:
Hero- Matt, being the nicest and affable guy, with a comedic sociopathic drunkard magical form.
Lancer: Maria, being more focused and having a focused, elegant, benevolent magical form.
Big Guy: Kyle. Lugging around ten pounds of armor tends to help.
Smart Guy: Angel. Obvious.
Chick: Selina. Even more obvious.

Magic:
Hero: Not Kyle?
Lancer: Nuriel
Big Guy: Gintama
Smart Guy: Anima
Chick: Ghost

Interesting. The only person to retain positions is Selina/Ghost.

Yeah. I was trying to put her in another position but:

Nuriel, Not Kyle and Gintama have stronger magic
Anima, Gintama and Not Kyle are more durable
Anima can turn the tides of a battle with summons, and Gintama is Gintama
And almost none of them have anywhere near Chick-ish behaviour.

Theoretically Ghost can be anywhere else, it's just that she's outdone by others in the position (Not Kyle is more classically heroic, Nuriel is more of a contrast to him, Gintama is more boisterous and Anima is more aloof and haughty).

Don't fret. Assigning randomly, there's a surprisingly low chance that all of them are in different places.

Each one has an 80% chance of being assigned to a spot other than its current position. To simplify the math, we'll ignore the alterations caused by previous allocations; it could function either way, so let's assume it evens out to 0.
0.8^5=0.32768
There is less than a one in three chance that no characters would have the same position in Magic Girl and Normal Girl forms.

I love how Gintama seems to get his own category when explaining him. I think I've accidentally made him a somewhat unlikeable version of Bang Shishigami, which, to be fair, I'm hoping to follow a similar character development.

Despite Selina having the strongest Magic skill transformed, and second highest in Normal form, she has probably the least useful ability... until we need a lot of food or something.

Ghost has the second highest magic with 10. Gintama has the highest with 13.

Yeah, he's meant to be the absolute wild card. Super powerful, but wildly unpredictable. Be thankful, tho, that magical boost is what got through that beasts defences and got it drunk

Matt has the highest hp and Gintama the second highest, as a by the by, though I haven't checked our newcomer to the active slot's stats, but I think it's the same. (EDIT: Yeah, Lady Silver has the least amount of hp, so that still stands.)

And hey, atleast Selina can fix that wall by drawing it
