Dariush has ignored my questions , answers, and posts directed at him.
He is now lurking, his last post being six days ago, despite significant activity in other threads.
These reasons assure me that he's scum.

Huh, I could've sworn it was night already. In case anyone cares, I was struck down with a severe case of Civ5:BNWitis.

GP: if you are posing correctly spelling my name as a favour, in exchange for which you want something, you can go riiight back to fucking yourself.

Since my last post, absolutely nothing worthy of a comment has happened. I said everything I had to say. I just want to have this game over with.

Wait, what?  You actually responded to one of my posts?
All of your points on me, and your reasoning for why NQT is town is fallacious.  Since you've failed to respond to my valid points, I assume that your realize this too, and are using inane reasons to avoid having to explain yourself, or admit the error in your ways.
Since my last post, absolutely nothing worthy of a comment has happened. I said everything I had to say. I just want to have this game over with.
Absolutely nothing worthy of a comment?  So in your opinion, the second to last msission, the mission that town HAS to win, is nothing worthy to comment on?  That's a terribly scummy thing to say.

So you're forgoing attempting to convince people of NQT's innocence and my scumminess in favor of waiting till this game is done.  If you really are town, (which I doubt), you would be attempting to convince everyone of who is scum or not.  Instead, you are lurking and ignoring questions.

One more vote left.
Probably Dariush.  If he doesn't care enough about this mission to even post, it's unlikely that he'd care enough to send a PM that says what he's voting.

Tension. Suspicion. Fear.  Idleness.

These are the pains of the Revolution

Silence reigned in the warehouse as the remaining rebels huddled together around a can fire. They were tired and weary of fighting, their faces knotted in frustration. In their eyes, the reflected flames danced as embers soared through the air, illuminating the decaying world of the warehouse around them. A small flame in the dark. Like hope dying.

Nerjin was the leader of the day. He stood silent in a period in deep contemplation. None bothered to break him out of this trance.

As the hours passed, conversation began to pick up. Accusations and counter accusations were examined. Names of those who were spies were thrown about in grave bitterness. This too came to naught. When the hands of the clock drew near midnight, any final conversations were wrapped.

"Nerjin." NQT spoke. "Have you come to a decision?"

"Yes." Nerjin replied. Closing his eyes and inhaling a breath, he began to speak. "I know that I can trust myself as a rebel. So I shall be on the team. Tiruin has been one of most vital agents to the Revolution thus far, and I would fain leave her out of this operation as well. Griffionday and Griffpup both strike me as loyal members to the cause as well, so both will be included in this operation. Finally, I'll be taking Dariush along on the mission as well, for his undying and unwavering support to the cause."

"Damn right." Dariush chuckled.  A small grin crossed his face. "Tiruin, break out the-"

Tiruin interrupted him, by sticking a ballot card into his mouth. "I know. Already done."

"Well what are the results?" Nerjin asked. Tiruin stood off on her own, counting the ballots one by one by the light of the fire. With eight flicks of her wrist, each slip of paper fell into the flames and were consumed by the fires. Eight names, to be remembered as heroes or villains as history saw fit.

"All votes were received. There were two votes to reject the team and six to accept it." Tiruin paused, letting the gravity of her words sink in. "The mission is a go."

Re: Revolution II - The Fires of Rebellion: The Fire Dies Out

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)

A question is proposed. What makes a Revolution? Many will suppose, that men make Revolution. This is but a half-truth. Men fight for the Revolution, but the Revolution itself begins with an idea, a spark in the minds of those men. This spark ignites the very fragments of their soul until it becomes a burning fire within them. They call this fire passion.

As the Rebels stood among the fire, they looked into the eyes of their brothers and sisters and saw that for everyone the flames within their hearts reflected.  Two of them fought for justice.   One man fought for his loved ones. Another fought for revenge and another fought for everlasting peace. Two more still fight for freedom. The eighth fought for his own absolution.

Eight souls in the night, sharing a small but stubborn fire.

In his hands, TheWetSheep rolling a piece of gauze into a small wad. "You should be ready for the mission Griff." Griffinpup stood up, testing his leg wounds.

"Thanks…"

"Griff?"

"Yes?"

"Have you said goodbye to her yet?"

Grifffinpup took a step back and bit his lips. "N-no. Why do you ask? Are you a spy or-"

"No" TheWetSheep replied with a shake of his head. His eyes were cold and sad. "I am worried about tonight."

"Tiruin?"

"Yes?" Tiruin turned. It was Lenglon.

"I wanted to thank you… For your words yesterday." She stammered. Her arms were shaking as she clutched them to her chest. Her mouth moved voicelessly, as she tried to find the right words. "Just… just in case you don't come back."

Tiruin closed her eyes and smiled. "Come here. " she beckoned.

Lenglon rushed forward, locking her hands around Tiruin. Tiruin did the same, throwing her arm around Lenglon. "It's going to be alright." Tiruin whispered. "If anything goes wrong with this mission… We'll be meeting once more in a place far away from here. Somewhere where the Empire can never reach us."

"Is this a promise?"

Tiruin pulled away from her. "Yes… I would like to meet your brother."

"You've turned spy, haven't you?" Griffionday asked. NQT stood across from him, staring a the floor. "I can read you like a book my friend."

"I have." NQT replied, his voice cold.

"Why?"

"I did what was necessary to secure my freedom."

Griffion's eyes burned with anger. "When I get back from this mission, you are a dead man."

"Is everything ready?"

"Yes."

"Then let's get this over with."

The March Revolution went down in the history books as a monument to the success of the Empire and a shrine of the Rebel's failure.

The July Revolution would never go down in the history books. It was a hidden war, known only by those who fought it. As Nerjin's team neared the operation site, they were ambushed by the agents of the Empire. Dariush and Nerjin turned upon their allies, holding them at gunpoint until the authorities could swoop in and arrest them.

Back at the warehouse, there was raid. Both TheWetSheep and Lenglon were apprehended. Further investigation uncovered Remuthra and Shinigami in the basement of the warehouse. They two were arrested for their prior involvement in the operations. As this all went on, NQT stood by the can fire, staring unceasingly into the flames. With a swift kick, he upturned the barrel, sending embers skittering across the concrete floor as tears filled his eyes.

The Revolution was over.

The Spies have won. Congratulations to Nerjin, Dariush, and NQT!

Which was my fault, wanting to get the game on the road. However, it was closer than you think. Lenglon on Day 3 managed to create a team that was spy free on her first try. Only Nerjin was able to convince her that her team was "wrong".

Edit: I complied a few notes for myself that I needed to better on. I would not rate my performance as a GM very well, but hopefully my mistakes will make for a good learning experience for others!

In the future also its probably best not to allow team switches after the first vote has been locked in.

Maybe 10-3 would be more balanced? I've also thought about 2 scum + 1 scum ally. The scum would not not know the ally and the ally would not know the scum. Or make day 3 require 2 sabotages.

Seriously though, Nerjin's gameplay plus Dariush's choice of a first team carried the game here at the end. I assumed Dariush would put exactly one scum on his first team, so with NQT marked as scum, Nerjin and Pup were almost certainly town.

Good choice Dar, and I should have been more suspicious of Nerjin's reaction to NQT's post. we could have won this.

And my instincts were finally totally wrong for once. I knew it was going to happen eventually, but still... darn.
