Lenglon: I suggest you set the team in stone soon. Otherwise I think it's an automatic fail [I may be wrong]. From what I recall no one is totally against it.

You better be town or I swear to George Washington Carver himself that I will be quite cross with your whole power-play antics earlier. I'm sorry but that just really rubbed me the wrong way.

First of all, my proposed team.

Lenglon - If it were anyone but here proposing the team I would say no. However she's the team leader so I suppose we cannot convince her otherwise.
Griffinpup - He's seemed town enough to me. Catching the NQT communication [Which I'm sad to say I didin't...] is certainly points in his favor. I'm not 100% on this handsome rogue but I'd put him in the final team if I could.
Nerjin- Handsome, manly, rougish, charismatic. Just an out and out beacon of spectacular yesness that no man, woman, or child could match. Plus I was told by the Mod that he's town.
Griffionday - I'd rather him than the other four. Though I would say that Tiruin would be a much happier choice for me.

As for me I'm just gonna go ahead and do a spectrum from Rebel to Spy.

Quote from:  Spectrum
REBEL - 100%
Nerjin - I am me. A role PM pretty much makes me sure I'm town. 100% town-sure.
Tiruin - Solid town play as well as pretty good logic. 90% town-sure.
GriffPup - Caught NQT out PLUS has seemed pretty solid in general. A few weak points here and there though. 80% town-sure.
GriffDay - Statistics seemed alright PLUS his play and reasonings have been relatively solid. Not entirely sure but... 60% town-likely.
Dariush - Process of elimination. NQT's communication was going here or to Lenglon. 50% Neutral.

Lenglon - Power play antics PLUS Remuthra's actions. Though my opinion of her might be bolstered a bit if things work out here. 40% Scum-likely.
TheWetSheep - Pushing weak accusations far too heavily. Plus attacking things that don't even matter. - 25% Scum-sure.
NQT - The communication seems to heavy to dismiss at this point plus utterly terrible play in general. - 0% Scum-sure.
SPY - 0%

Lenglon, haggard and harried, surrounded by scattered piles of tape records and a few small mountains of paper, finally stands up.
Her hair is out of place, and she's visibly stiff. But she seems to have calmed down some. The look on her face is one of acceptance, rather than the frantic, half-panicked, look she had earlier in the day.
Still, she ends up swallowing several times before finally getting her words out.

"Ok, time's running out. I.. I think we've gone over everything we possibly can, and I'm taking my best shot at this. I really, REALLY, hope I'm right about this."
Lenglon
GriffPup
Nerjin
GriffDay

"I don't think anyone has anything left to say. We've been at this for days now, it's time for actions instead of words. Lets get going people, we have a mission to do."

I'm going with Day instead of Tiruin because, as both Pup and I mentioned, Shinigami's actions are incompatible with Dariush being scum.

Lenglon:You better be town or I swear to George Washington Carver himself that I will be quite cross with your whole power-play antics earlier. I'm sorry but that just really rubbed me the wrong way.
"Nerjin-Senpai, I understand, and I won't disappoint you. I'm...
I'm not like that."

Why would it automatically pass?

Because town voting it down would be stupid as all hell? I know it must be hard to think of it from a town perspective for you but you can't ignore the fact that a possible win is better than a for sure loss.

That being said I guess I'll sned the PM regardless.

No wonder I missed your questions-- you didn't embolden my name! I'm a busy man, I can't be reading every wall of quotes in a game that rests on analysing results and not nebulous reads.

Anyway:

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY???  Why did you want to make speculation about the advantages we have this game?
There didn't seem to be any reason not to. Talking about the nature of the game is quite normal when beginning a game. Look at any game in this subforum. You really are inflating this to ridiculous proportions.

Quote
Regardless, what would you suggest someone do when they see potential communication?  Should they just completely ignore it?
Quote
But what I really want an answer to is:
NQT:
Also, why would you SPECIFICALLY POINT OUT A STRATEGY FOR HOW SCUM SHOULD ACT WHEN THEY DOUBLE UP ON TEAMS?
Which you conveniently forgot to mention.  Let me make one thing clear.
I DON'T REALLY CARE ABOUT THE REST OF THE CONTENT OF THAT POST.  STOP DEFLECTING MY QUESTIONS WITH IT.  WHY DID YOU INCLUDE A VIABLE SCUM STRATEGY IN YOUR POST?
I really don't see how it could be viewed as communication. In playing a game without a private communication channel, spies are under conditions of existential despair: no matter what they hope they cannot rely on their fellows to interpret their actions correctly, they cannot rely on the other person to downvote or upvote a mission, to sabotage or lay low. They are adrift, abandoned. No, I was merely talking about the previous game and the advantage we have over the old spies.

Even if the spies saw it as a viable strategy, what hope would a spy-NQT have that the other spies would read between the lines and act on the advice? None! That you and the others have inflated casual talk about the last game to some kind of bizarre conspiracy has only made it more certain that the spies will follow the strategy!

So you're OK with putting 2 untrustworthy people on the team, but don't want anything to do with the person that put them there?  Why?

So what information did you get about the trustworthiness of Dariush from the failure of the mission you put together?
Sorry, what? Which people were you talking about? The first mission passed so at the time you and Nerjin weren't particularly untrustworthy. Now that that mission failed, you, Nerjin and Remuthra have gained scum points in my eyes. You're each 33-100% scum.

Tiruin, if there was any question you wanted answering you'll have to repeat it. Often you phrase things so vaguely that on rereading I've no idea what you were referring to.

"I'd be against it because of my reads on you, but Griffionday is giving a good idea on what you're doing.."
Lenglon: Town: I really doubt she'd go through the reads she did if she were a spy (a lot of work with little reward, unless she's playing a better scum game than the last one I was in).
Sheep: Scum, mostly on the strength of the other player's reads though.
However fallible by the notion of trying to cover up your predecessor's mistakes and subverting the ideas through all that.

...You still didn't explain why you want yourself over anyone else. Which you did say was open to negotiation.

However, we are at a standstill.
> We couldn't shift the mission because if Lenglon wouldn't lead, it would inevitably be a failure. (Something I see birdy hasn't stated in the rules. Unless I'm blind.)
> There was little reason with reasoning with the leader, yes. However, in how we did such, would correct the result on whether she is a spy or a rebel based on how the team succeeds/fails.

All those I asked you before that griffinpup linked, because those were straight questions. >_>

Because mostly, I add hypothetical questions related to the post linked in the quote I'm talking to.

You're just dodging. After all this time.

This does not make sense. Or unclear sense to me.

Please expound.

You are not blind. This was one rule that was never quite specified in either of the Revolution Threads.

When it gets to "Lylo" missions I'll probably end up giving the Rebels more days to work with, most likely five as GlyphGriff had it.
