Mission 2 - Day 1 - Leader NQT

Another midnight meeting. The warehouse was spacious, yet completely devoid of  both merchandise or supplies. The only thing that filled it was the silent whispers of rebellion. This place was safe house, a beacon of hope for the rebellion.  After ensuring the building was secure, the rebels made there way to the center of the building, where NQT stood amongst their midst on a wooden crate. The meeting was just beginning.

"It is good to see you all again!  I am the leader for creating this next team. Now..." NQT pauses, sweeping his arms across the room.  "As you might have noticed, this warehouse is looking a bit empty. Tonight, we're changing that. I've arranged a meeting with one of our suppliers from back during the March Revolution. They'll  be helping to fill this place up a bit with supplies."

"However, rather than risk all of us going at once, I've for a four person team to be sent; Griffin, Nerjin, Remuthra and myself." NQT grins slightly. "I am quite certain that this team will be just as successful as the first. That all said, let's get down to the discussion and the vote…"

One by one, the rebels pass in their votes. NQT watched them from upon his wooden stage, eying the tiny slips of paper in anticipation.  Slowly, they made there way back towards him. Eight of them. He could count them from his perch. Eight tiny little votes that held the future of the revolution. His heart was pounding in his chest.

"So… Have we come to a decision then?" NQT asked nervously. Once again, Tiruin was counting the votes, her lips pursed. She shuffled them twice, counting them once more to be completely certain. Tiruin shakes her head in disappointment.

"I don’t fully trust the setup, the team has enough votes to pass."

"Good!" NQT exclaims, clapping his hands together, his face clearly relieved. "Let's get moving then. Griff, Nerjin, Remuthra, come with me. I'll explain the details on the way…"

Re: Revolution II - The Fires of Rebellion: The Fruits of Labor

As the night drew on, two pairs of lonely shadows made their way through the night, their forms weaving in and out of alleyways so as to avoid the ever watchful eye of the Empire.

"Are we getting close yet?" One whispered. Remuthra.  His heart was beating in his chest, betraying him against those that might wait in the night. This was his first mission for the Rebellion, and he was paired with a legend. The ghost that eluded the Empire's grasp, the man who escaped, slipping through their fingers as the Revolution crumbled to dust. The ember who reignited the flame.

"Yes… We only have a few more meters left." NQT whispered in return, his eyes gazing straight ahead. To him, this was probably just another mission. Or was it? There was a cold steel resolve in his eyes that sparked Remuthra's curiosity.

"Hey, NQT… May I ask you a question?" Remuthra asked.

NQT stopped in the middle of the alleyway and looked back. "Shoot."

The younger rebel paused before continuing, thinking over his words carefully. "Where did you go on the night of the March Revolution? What happened to you?"

"I left."

"Why?"

"Because I had to." NQT declared. He started walking down the alleyway, tracing his finger against the brick wall. "It was either that, or rot in an Imperial hellhole. So, I spent my days in hiding. Waiting for this."

A few moments later, they arrived in an empty lot. Across the way, Griffinpup and Nerjin appeared. NQT took out his phone, and typed out a simple message.

 "We're here."

"So this is what we came for? Apples and lemons?" Griffinpup was astounded, shaking his head in disbelief.  "What the hell are supposed to do with these?"

Nerjin thrust his hands into the fruit basket Griffinpup was holding. These rookies were absolutely clueless. "Just wait one second… This is what we came for!" From the depths of the basket, he produces a small pistol and a handful of bullets.

"This what we came for."

By the time the rebels returned to warehouse, the morning sun was just beginning to rise in a hazy sky. With a few knocks, they were in the warehouse.

"So, I trust this was another successful mission?" Dariush inquired.

"Yeah, I'd say so." Remuthra said with a smile. In his hand, he brandished one of the apples, red and shiny. "Breakfast and weapons. There isn't quite anything like it!"

"Any issues to report?"

"None. None at all." Remuthra raised the apple to his mouth and took a bite. He spat it out immediately "These apples taste terrible though..."

He looked down at the fruit of his labor and his eyes widened in surprise. There was small metal object lodged in the core of his apple.

Suddenly, an explosion ripped through the warehouse, as the fruit baskets begin to explode in a fiery blaze of glory.

You have been sabotaged.

The fruit was rotten! You have been sabotaged!
There was a single sabotage vote!

Griffinpup is your new leader!

NQT kneels down in the ashes of his breakfast, howls up into the rain, crying "NOOOOOO!!!" as the camera slowly pans up and out.

Okay, thinking about this logically-- there was either one, two or three scum on this last mission (my bet is one as there was only one sabotage vote and no way to confer), Griffpup is an obvious suspect but we can't rule out the possibility of scum lying low on the first mission. Tiruin and TheWetSheep get moderate town points for downvoting the mission.

Who do you think you'll pick for the next mission Griffpup, and why?

EBWOP-- I meant Remuthra as the obvious suspect (I mix up the players in my head just as I always conflate Deathsword with Toaster), but frankly if there was only one scum on the first mission there's good reason to lie low so in my mind Nerjin and Griffpup are almost equally as suspicious.

Let's see if we can get more conversation. Days 1 and 2 really lacked that.

Nerjin: At the beginning of D1, you said that you'd be in favor of Dariush's randomly picked team, saying there's nothing to base suspicions off of, yet you asked a whole bunch of RVS questions. Why?

And I still really think we should not be stating how we'll vote. I mean, state misgivings and such so we can discuss the team, but if everyone says how they'll vote it allows scum to blend in really easily.

I asked the RVS questions so that when there WAS sometime solid to go off of I could have more information than just the team. Why just me? Why not some other people some stuff.

You were the only person apart from Ranger, who is me, to say we couldn't find scum D1 and then RVS questions anyway. And I've still got a bunch of questions waiting to be answered.

Remuthra
I don't like the team because I'm a convenient scapegoat if there are spies on the team. I don't like it, but if Dariush won't go there's no better team we can have, so I'm upvoting anyway.
And? What rational reason is there? Everyone is a convenient scapegoat! What's your difference?

Why is Dariush playing a giant factor there?
Dariush was on the last team. As for the scapegoating, I recognize that, which is why I'm upvoting the team anyway.
>_>

That is the best answer I've ever heard. Evasion, as well as the beautiful irony of blank acknowledgement.

That is pathetic.

Yeah? Why @underlined part. Also, how is your reasoning making sense when you prod out Nerjin and Griffinpup? Usually, you also include yourself with a self-conflicting statement that puts everyone equally at suspicion, but then you prod everyone else.

What's up, my leader?

Why is he any different from Griffinpup, who wasn't even on the team? Why'd you mix up their names?

Why do I and TWS get town points, sir? Could you explain that?

And yet you don't poke at what's happening recently, huh. Don't you see what others are saying instead of going off a nail and defending yourself with that one statement?

You're leaving blanks in your trail.

Griffpup is an obvious suspect
Why him and not Nerjin or Remuthra?
Tiruin and TheWetSheep get moderate town points for downvoting the mission.
No they don't. If they're town, they didn't have any way to know there would be a spy on the team any more than the rest of us.

Could you all please stop ignoring me?

Dariush: You especially. Answer this post please.

Birdy:
Also... On the subject of voting, if there is a tie I plan on breaking it by coinflip. Are there any objections to this?
Yeah, I don't like this. It adds an element of chance that really shouldn't be there. On a tie the rules in the games I've played say it's rejected.

My only fear is that the spies nearly have enough votes to cancel any team in this setup, with only one player needed to start the team-building process all over again. But, you are right about how luck shouldn't play a factor. I need to develop a better way about it. Perhaps I should take into consideration the order by which votes are received.

But, that could also prematurely cancel convervastion by people needing to get their votes in early.

Sorry that I haven't been very active here. It's a different type of game so I don't really know how to act here. I asked a question about scumhunting but no one answered. Also Birdy, They may have enough people to go against it but if the same people keep down voting it would become suspicious. Especially if it's the same group. I am against the coin toss.

Nerjin. That's quite a long time to be busy, don't you agree?
