Sooo, it seems likely we will see a new Freespace in the future.

Heres to hoping Interplay won't manage to fuck it up.

DF doesn't mold players into its image - DF merely selects those who were always ready for DF.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

I think what this series needs is a morality system where you can chose to like... destroy colony ships for evil points or spare enemies for good points... and if you have 100 of each you get a special power unique to each alignment.

It can even have three endings, the good, evil, and neutral ending.

Perfect!

Interplay? I thought they went extinct.

Edit: I was thinking of Interstel, who Wikipedia does not even remember. (They published this)

Ditto. Didn't the great Interplay Diaspora happen? Aren't their old members constituents of Blizzard, Bioware, etc. now?

Interplay has risen from the ashes, but pretty much none of the originals are there anymore. It is interplay in name only.

Then again, Interplay wasn't ever really one of my favourites, I only really liked them by association. Black Isle is where the magic was.

I'dunno. Lost vikings was good times, as was Fallout. Not to mention that Stonekeep taught me to love terrible jokes, dungeon crawls, and how to make pretty excellent Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins, all in the same game.
