You are Edwin Ironson, and today you are setting out to the great city of Brightdown in hopes of an opportunity that will allow you to rise above your low born position to become a holder of titles, however minor. You remember your childhood well. Your time as a child was spent playing at soldiers with your friends, running through fields using crude wooden swords to fight each other, and even sneaking some practice sessions with your family sword in in your later years. Other days you'd be in your father's smithy helping him with the forges, carts, making new horseshoes, and even once helping him repair a dozen swords of the village's guard. Then finally there were the times as you grew older when you spent your day in the village church's library with Old Man Ulson teaching you letters, and allowing you free reign to read what you wished. However now that was all behind you.
You left your home bearing an ancient heirloom that has been in your family since you great-great-great grandfather's time, a longsword of a pale white steel and simple leather, and oak grip with the pommel carved into the likeness of a drake. Other then that you have only the barest of necessities, a rather meager supply of coin, commoner clothing, a pack, and a few days food to last you some of your journey. The days pass quickly enough after you set out on your journey, you walk along the well packed dirt road by day and slink off to make camp in some secluded place at night. After several days of walking the city walls finally come into sight, your heart raises and your pace quickens bringing the walls ever closer, as you draw nearer the cities the crowds on the road grow as well.
Soon enough you find yourself among a great crowd of people, some making their way towards the city, and other leaving it however all the same you hear much as you wade through the crowd. The first of which is the city's Captain of the Guard is looking for new recruits, apparently a few of his ran off with some of the best weapons in the castle's armory, and they have yet to be found as well. There were other whispers that spoke of a great feast supposed to take place in the city in two month time, it was to be held in honor of the Lord's son Cheswick. Finally, you hear these three workmen talking about the city's arena, it just recently finished and it was to hold its first matches in one week time, and everyone who wants to take part is being accepted. Shortly after you break apart from the group, and step off to stand in the mouth of an alley between to inns to think of your next move.
Possible Actions:A) Go inquire about a job with the City Guard
B) Check out the arena, and ask about a job there
C) Enter a nearby inn and see what more you can hear there
D) Look about the city for other opportunities
E) Or perhaps something else ...

As you have all probably noticed by now this game is going to be heavily inspired by Lordship, and I might even use a few people or places from it somewhere along in the story (with Maldevious' permission of course). The last option in the possible actions is for you guys to come up with your own if you want, I only give those to help you along so if you wish to go with them you can but aim for something else if you want.
