I was going to give people some more time to RP, but I guess they're not interested... @_@ I also sent Gamerboy a PM since he may have missed me announcing the IC thread was up, so hopefully we'll see Elian's opinion before I move us along.

Oooh, maptiles! Can't believe I didn't notice them sooner. Love the style they're in. No mountains though(not surprised, not sure if mountains actually show up in FE games honestly) but I see hills and they're glorious. Rhett and hills will go together better than peanut butter and jelly, lemons and lines.

@Xan: Well, actually there are no hills in FE from what I recall.

It's just 'mountains', like we have here, and 'peaks' which are high and all but impassable. But serc probably didn't want large sections of the maps reserved for air duels.

@Xan: Indeed. ^^^ I'll probably make some more maptiles later on, like stuff for caves and wooden bridges and the like, keep environments varied and interesting.

@Dwar: That's what the water/waterfall tiles are mostly for. I do plan to add an impassable 'mountain' tile to the list at some point.

'Impassable' mountains in quotes, for Rhett and the flying units at least. :p

Thinking on it though, I'm curious as to how the Mountain Warrior's special will take effect. The defense bonus to AS and DAM is easy enough, but the boulder rolling I got nothing. Just ignore it I imagine, and would suggest. I mean, where's it gonna travel? Is the damage DEF-detractable? So many questions for something so selective that I'd probably only use it once, maybe twice, in the game really. Now the first part of it, I can get a lot of mileage outta that.

It would travel in a straight line in the cardinal direction selected, go as far as there is 'passable' terrain (so if the mountain has water to its left and a mountain to its right, you would be better off rolling it north or south) and deal 15-Def to each unit hit (as it would go over all of them). However it would also potentially deal friendly fire.
