oh, I guessed wrong :P
Also, Praef, that's because Haspen is king of troll DMs.
(also Haspen, that's not meant with disrespect but a kind of grudging awe :P)

You got a really good point there, my friend.

(re: Injuries)

It makes sense, but it seems really lenient.

Just to clarify, if someone gets knocked down during battle, and the timer expires, they are removed from the battle and given a nice clean little notch on their "Injury" card?

Once they accumulate enough injuries, if they get knocked down AGAIN and exceed the timer, THEN they die?

Well, there's not really a timer, per se. There's just a round after they're knocked down in which if they are helped back up, then they don't accumulate an injury; otherwise they do. If they do get an injury, then they just lie there until someone gets them back on their feet, so they're not really removed from combat. If they get three injuries in the course of a battle, or if they already have six injuries and receive another one, then the character dies upon getting that last injury. Basically it's based on a combination of Punch Out and Inindo: Way Of The Ninja. In Punch Out, if you get knocked down three times, you lose the match (same goes for your opponent there, but won't here; NPC lives don't really matter that much :P). In Inindo, when a character gets 'killed' in combat, they accumulate injuries. Once they have enough of them, the next time they go down they die permanently.

So yeah. Like that.

Maybe it comes from being the kind of person who actually beat IWBTG, but I actually thought that injury rule was too lenient. A full turn to revive people? SEVEN injuries before you go down for good? After playing Awakening's Lunatic mode, this sounds like a cakewalk.  :P
Combining that and the three turns rule seems a good idea to me; keep some urgency to being KOed, but also make it so you can't continually ram into enemies or you're deaaad.

I clarified the rule above. Do you two still feel it's too lenient? Just checking.

You do know that they roll the levels anyway? It's to help you scale with the group.

'They'? It's just me! :P But yeah, I will roll missing levels for people when they join. I can't do anything about the Supports they will be missing out on, of course, but, well... should've made a character sooner, I say! Except for the guys who are making characters right now and don't get in right away. >.> Sorry to you guys for that.

But anyway, so, Praefectus: Officially choosing to wait then? Just checking to make certain.

Hey, when was the last time I played a Sercon game, anyway? :P

Working on sheet nao

When was the last time there was a SerCon game to play? :P I think it has literally been a year, since I think February 2012 was the last turn of CvRTD I ran before admitting it was dead in like June or July or something. >.> Regardless, good to see ya here. ^^^ I hope this game has a good run like that one did; the year or so I ran it was really fun and I think given my style of GMing Fire Emblem could be my niche. At least, I hope so.

Final note: It's storming pretty hard here so if you ask me something and I don't answer, the power or internet is probably out. :P

I was aware of that already, Serious, and I still think it's too lenient.
Also, here's asking for affinities so you don't have to double post :P

Well, I would be missing the support part. So I will go with what makes it easier for you. On both of the ways I would be getting the trainees levels, the only difference is the lack of support, but I doubt that will be much of a problem as it is pretty fast to reach the first class.

All right then, PS. I'll just include you in my 'first in' random rolls anyway and if you get in, you get in, if not, then it's OK.

OK, Powder. I'll wait for a few more yay or nays to come in but it looks like I'll be figuring out the best way to combine injuries + death counter.

Eh, someone has to do it. :P

Tell me if this is o-kay!

Also, minor question. For my support bonuses, does 'damage' also translate to plus healing power?

Oh, that's beautiful.
I have a shaman (to be) with Light affinity, and Dwarmin has a nun to be with dark :P

Oh yeah, I remembered what I was going to ask, can you let the wyvern hunters use lances and axes like on the old FEs?

Does seem a bit ironic, Powder. XD Anyway, you're good Dwarmin, I'll update the OP in a moment. I'm not certain the answer to your question though. The handbook isn't finished so it lacks details like that. I've thought about it for about ten minutes and I'm going to say 'yes.'

@Ninja PS: Sure, but at lower proficiencies: 1 Lance Subcategory (A), 1 Axe Subcategory (A), Lances (C), Axes (C). Fair enough?

You know, I always associated Dark not with literal evil, but being self-centered and prideful-like Thunder, but they also have seem to let personal motivations cloud their judgement, for good or bad.

Ex. of Dark affinity chars from Wiki-

Quote
Rath
Isadora
Karla
Merlinus
Knoll
Orson
Rennac
Riev

Alot of them are somewhat jerks who seem to be sort of glad to have an excuse to do good. Or utterly insane monsters. So I think it fits my char. :P

Anyway, you're good Dwarmin, I'll update the OP in a moment.

Woop woop.

Being a magic the gathering player AND a tvtropes reader, I heartily subscribe to the Dark is not Evil circle as well.
That description of Dark is what I figured, but it's still funny.
Similarly, I see Light not as I AM ALL HOLY GOOOD but being naive and kind (or at the very least kind, but quite a few light characters are naive, too, like Eirika.)
