Yeah, the sheet is probably going to come tomorrow. Don't want to be kicking myself tomorrow for not getting enough sleep.

Was split on monk and an axe-user for a while, but seems we'll have magic covered with a shaman and another magic user, so Axe-user it is. ...Although, we could try to roll with a magic heavy group for the sheer hilarity of what that would probably wind up as. Depends on what the others want to do, I'm more than fine with either ideas rolling around in my head and will be planning an axe-user unless the magic-heavy group idea somehow gets backing.

Hah, if Haspen's campaign had had the injury rule, half of us would be dead.

Well, I guess basically I'm trying to use potential long-term consequences to promote tactical thinking, while at the same time making it where a KO isn't immediately a 'oh shit get someone over there to rez before he's dead for good' sort of situation. I mean, if someone's nearby and can heal/Rescue you before you take an injury, you don't have anything to worry about, and if you do get an injury, well, unless you already have a lot you're not going to die. :P I do also mean the rules exactly as written; if you go down but get back up before receiving an injury, that counts as not getting one during a battle so one is still healed at the end, and if you have six and go down you still have a turn for someone to heal/Rescue you before you get a death scene. I think it's fair enough. ^^^

I totally didn't notice this.

I'm in, I'll be going Thief Trainee -> Scavenger -> Bounty Hunter

Sheet is here:

I have a feeling this character might just be a pain in the ass to the others. I'm kind of excited to see how he turns out.

It makes sense, but it seems really lenient.

Just to clarify, if someone gets knocked down during battle, and the timer expires, they are removed from the battle and given a nice clean little notch on their "Injury" card?

Once they accumulate enough injuries, if they get knocked down AGAIN and exceed the timer, THEN they die?

Maybe it comes from being the kind of person who actually beat IWBTG, but I actually thought that injury rule was too lenient. A full turn to revive people? SEVEN injuries before you go down for good? After playing Awakening's Lunatic mode, this sounds like a cakewalk.  :P

Combining that and the three turns rule seems a good idea to me; keep some urgency to being KOed, but also make it so you can't continually ram into enemies or you're deaaad.

Quick note, if anyone wants to collaborate on a background, I'm open to the idea.

Druid.

OP List updated. As for the other, OK, I'll knock it off with that then. I guess it would be a lot of trouble to edit mugs to look like various races anyway. :P

Also, I was re-reading Vandertz and something occurred to me. Praefectus, do you want to wait until other characters are First Promotion before you show up? It just seems kind of weird for Vandertz to have a wyvern but not be able to ride him for the first five levels of play. ^^^; Or I suppose I could just allow you to start as a Rider Trainee instead and just give you the map sprite for a wyvern rider and class into that instead of starting as a Soldier Trainee.

Nah, I don't want to lose the trainee levels, there is a reason for him to show up as a soldier trainee, he is broke. So he is avoiding getting his wyvern tired, which would just cost him more money, and after spending so much time wandering without fighting took a bit of his experience. Or you can go with the rider trainee idea, depending of the situation there are two different sprites, as Gregor did one for his soldier stages and the other for his wyvern rider mode.

Also I will be helping you with the ideas indeed, but I will wait to see the story first to see what I can come up with, then I will message you. <:

Hah, Nicholas! Our mages' personal faults are exact opposites!
Yours is about being easily distracted and triggers when enemies are attacking.
Mine is about not being distracted easily enough and triggers after Nathara attacks!

You do know that they roll the levels anyway? It's to help you scale with the group.

Actually I didn't know he would make the rolls anyway. Maybe because when I joined the other FEF I was forced to be a first class and without the trainee rolls. But if this is not the case, I will accept to wait for the rest and get the trainee rolls anyway.

oh, I guessed wrong :P
Also, Praef, that's because Haspen is king of troll DMs.
(also Haspen, that's not meant with disrespect but a kind of grudging awe :P)
