Toronto would be cool. so would edmonton, or vancouver, or calgary.

not winnipeg though. that would be lame.

I can roll with Canada on two conditions
1. Snow fields. All of them. Make Skyrim look like a tropic beach.
2. Radioactive maple syrup.

Fallout New Vegas (NEHEHEHEH) was good. It had Bethesda's thumbprints, but Obsidian at least had a good grip on it. If that caused a depression, I think you best avoid Fallout 4...
I don't mean to start a flame war or smth but i always wondered what was so super about F:NV....
Yeah the plot makes more sense ( considering the F3 "heights" in that matter it hardly a noble-prize worthy ... ) and few more things are improved but its the same old F3 with its shitty graphics, wooden voiceovers, stupid fetch quests, locations that make no sense ( no defences, no food supply, no sanitation etc ) and many many "cool" things by Bethesda...
And depression was mainly because i prepared myself for some ubershit epic adventure Fallout2 like and got F3 ver. 2.0...
Same principle applied to Alien:Colonial Marines, Empire Total War and few more ...

I think a non-american Fallout would be a bit of a shame
Non-american Fallout would have one huge advantage : complete freedom lore-wise. New factions, locations, history etc. Could be fun if it was to be made by some competent company.

How to cure gaming industry in couple easy steps :
1. Stop preordering games.
2. Stop hyping games that have nothing to show except pre-rendered hype trailer.
3. Always distrust corporations.
4. Always rage at criminal DLC , microtransactions, pre-order bonuses and other semi legal practices.

Generally, just don't buy into hype until it gets released. It really doesn't work out.

Despite Bethesda's terrible policies, I actually was okay with the Fallout 3 game engine. I thought it did it's job, not doing anything interesting, but it wasn't utterly catastrophic. The graphics are average enough (Fallout was never really that pretty as a series anyway), I thought the quests were generally good, and the locations did make sense for a mostly pacified part of the wastelands that's still pretty underdeveloped. Generally, I just think New Vegas did a good job but was ultimately limited by the pretty average engine.

Toronto would make a pretty convincing post-apocalyptic wasteland. I'd play it.

EDIT: Oceania would likely become the default superpower in a nuclear holocaust. Large land mass with a small stable population and a largely self-sufficient economy. With no natural enemies and no nuclear program it would be very unlikely to be targeted by any warheads.
A couple colonist programs later to expand influence, gather survivors and secure resources, humanity would be looking fairly decent again. It's not really related to the Fallout universe but I always wanted to see a strategy game with that theme.

We'd have noticed - Oceania includes the Americas.[1]

The Americas have shown dissonance during their Two Minutes Hate and therefore are hereforth expelled from all future conversation about great Oceania. Please report for mandatory duty at the Ministry of Love. All glory to the Party!

I totally don't support Eurasia at all.

Well to some popular belief the maple syrop is more a produce from Quebec than canada.... and im quoting wiki as a reliable source "The Canadian province of Quebec is by far the largest producer, responsible for about three-quarters of the world's output"

And quebec is also known for incredible snow stroms ( Unless you take into account the nordics territories where, with no offense meant, nobody lives there exept some very scarced village.

So if you want maple syrup and snow, it has to be in the quebec province!

Just my 2 cent from a quebecois ( Dude living in quebec province).

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

Montreal is in Quebec, right? It would be pretty good.
Enough water to make for interesting topography.
