The letter, somehow, flipped over, revealing more writing on the back.

Remember: the survival of the Universe depends upon you. We know that you will do the right thing.

E. Low frowned at the writing, and tossed the letter into a filing cabinet. "Perhaps you're a bit misinformed 'bout what I am. First - I'm not a delivery boy. Second - I'm not the sort of guy that likes to get his nose in other people's business. And third - I'm not a hero. Never called myself one, never cared much for justice or the high ideals. You know about me. I literally stumbled in here, wanted to grab dinner, fled from a minor apocalypse and somehow got made the God of Survival for it. I gotta honor that but right now these three animals are all I'm responsible for. The gods can care for themselves.

He looks around for a bit, across the half-finished bar.

Would be nice if one of you came across for a few pints, though, I'm feelin' kind of lonely."

Just as predicted, E. Low became more suspicious. He also had not opened the other letter out of curiosity, thus filling some holes in the prediction.

E. Low followed a strange urge and folded the letter adressed to him into a paper plane, throwing it through the room and watching it fly around for a solid five minutes.

The hope of the sane side of (the) Zanzetkuken(s) was returned with the introduction of the deity.  This is one whom would likely proceed into the action of constructing the world quickly.  When she heard the question, there was a minor sense of awkwardness came up, that made its way into her voice when she responded with, "It is...not easy to explain.  There would be some that would describe my other half and I as twin deities, but we seem to be more connected than that, but at the same time, we are not one single mind.  Truthfully, you could not find a greater divide.  I encompass the sphere of sanity, while my other half encompasses the sphere of insanity, though order and chaos would be a better description of our spheres.  The differences do not stop at that point, we both have opposing personalities, appearances, and ideas of the result of the world.  We do have one major thing that is keeping us from being complete opposites, the void god has taken away our ability to create, but left us with just enough to be able to modify existing creations, but nothing more.  I suppose we asked for it, but we feared that we would be destroyed, and did what we must.  We both had to submit, because of the split nature having us draw from a common creative pool, and we also each feared for our lives, for if one of us dies, we both die.  Because of that, we cannot do anything that would threaten the lives of one half or the other.  Does that answer your question?"
Ironeye paused to consider for a moment.

"Curious. Can you regain your power somehow?"

Ironeye paused to consider for a moment.

"Curious. Can you regain your power somehow?"

"I do not think so.  It was directly taken from us.  However, we did get one boon from this."  The sane aspect of (the) Zanzetkuken(s) gestured to her forehead, before continuing, "The Void God put this mark upon us that protects us from being consumed by the nothing."  The sane aspect paused for a second, sorting out her thoughts.  She then continued, "This line of thinking wasn't why I came here though.  I first went to the deity Neyaravah, since that one was the only god I knew of that was against the Void God before I came across you.  I presented an idea I had, but Neyaravah would not listen, wanting to continue using the 'Void Plauge,' as they call it, to combat the void.  My idea was to create an artifact that would repel the influence of the void, and use that as the core of a planet in order to protect the world from the devouring of the void.  What do you think of that?"

"I think it is too limiting. Creation should be safe from the Void by virtue of the Void no longer being a threat, not by a single golden chalice held preciously in its core.

Though... perhaps such a thing could work in a more general sense. I am not in favor of it, but if Void-repelling cores were an aspect of all worlds, perhaps powered by the world's life... but even then, I would prefer a lifeless world to remain, and a struggling one to stay strong."

"I can see your first concern about the precariousness of the artifact, but given enough time, there will be conspiracies by some that would wish for a return to the void, and they might manage to come across a power that could kill gods.  Add that to the fact that any barrier created for the purpose of preventing the void from entering would slowly weaken without maintenance to prevent the void from breaking through, and it would mean that the void would be a continual threat.  There should be at least a back-up, just in case of that occurrence happening to prevent the void from killing everything that was worked so hard for.

As for your second concern, in addition to life on the planet strengthening the artifact, what if a belt of life that flows through every planet, which could be called a lifestream, would be created to provides energy for the artifact in virtue of all life on the planet coming from or going back to the lifestream.  It would be present in all planets, but on the barren worlds, it would be dormant since there is no life for any life to exit the stream, but it would still be there.  On struggling worlds, there would be little active life, but the lifestream would still be there providing for the gap."

"I think should mortals develop means to kill gods, our issues will be greater than what shields Creation from the Void.

That is why I intended to build the barrier from Creation itself- a self-repairing, self-creating, if you will, barrier of antithesis to the jealous dark.

I would not object to a backup, but I would caution against investing overmuch in a plan that will only function should everything else turn to ash."

The sane portion of (the) Zanzetkuken(s) replied with a tad bit of sadness, "I know, I know.  It's just that I worry about the power of the void and its allies might try to do.  It is more powerful than you would believe..."  She looked directly toward Ironeye as she said, "Would you create this sometime soon?  I can't do it myself."

Name: Ruilep
God of: Strategy and Invention
Patron of: Commanders, innovators, and large-scale businessmen/criminals.
Animals: Foxes. Because only those smart enough to catch a fox without killing it first deserve my blessing
Sacrifice: Thrown over a cliff, unchained, uncaged, and untied, where I save it. It then learns the strategy they used, and will be harder to catch next time.
Origin: An extremely intelligent inventor became the lord-commander of the nation he resided in, due to careful planning. He also started to plan how to become one of the gods. However, he fucked up and made his next-in-command a god. I was his next-in-command. Then I killed him, because he was an asshole and planning to become a god which could have superseded me.
Avatar: A ten-foot tall suit of divine armor, shifting and changing constantly, becoming better and more suited to the task at hand and performance in general.
