World Simulation Dev Log: Version 0.0007a, The Tron Soup
« on: June 03, 2013, 03:43:48 am »

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

+ Added the ability to simulate atoms. Hydrogen is in.
- Hydrogen atoms sometimes explode into infinite energy if their private space is intruded on.

+ Added helium
- Helium explodes violently on contact with carbon.
(Am I doing this right?)

(There's no carbon yet)

+Added gravity
-Without counterbalancing forces, all hydrogen and helium atoms just collapse in a singularity. They then create overflow errors when helium intrude into their private parts. you may want to comment out gravity until we found a fix.

+added photons
-photons hitting each other sometimes create naming errors that end up spawning two hydrogen. Those hydrogen being on the same place, it create the overflow error of infinite energy. (took a while to figure that one)

+broke hydrogen and helium down into subatomic particles, protons, neutrons, negetrons and bobtrons are in.

+ Bugfixes: Removed negetron and all negatively charged particles. The positive charges nicely counterbalance gravity and prevent the universe from collapsing.

-Also prevent anything more complex than an helium atoms from being stable.

+ Reintroduced negetrons and put them near the edge of the atom, in circular orbits around the bobtrons.  Universal collapse hasn't reappeared (fingers crossed)

+bugfix: introducing antimateer. Positively-charged antinegetron and negatively charged antibobtrons, to form antihydrogen. Now, photon collision create a particle and its opposite. The naming errors (and subsequent infinite energy bug) no longer occur.
- colliding antimateer and mateer vanish into nothingness.

+ Bugfix: Reduced the charge of negetrons by an order of 10^6, Universe collapsing less again
+ Bugfix: Noticed an overflow with particle speeds.  Introduced a max speed parameter.

I've finally put in the time to make a sweeping change to the particle system.
+ It is now easier to make atoms work in a drag-and-drop-and-fill-out-all-the-relevant-fields matter! Time to get out of the nitty-gritty atom stage. ;D
+ Electric force is now a thing
+ atoms can sorta stick to each other to make bigger stuff, but I haen't quite gottenthe hang of molecules yet. Anyone with a chemist friend?
- Everything is positively charged! AHHH THE UNIVERSE IS BLOWING UP

+ Buffed the negetron's charges, and added an inverse square dependency on the distance for the electric force. Universe is now broadly neutral.
+ Added nuclear forces. They now explain how atoms create and permit fusion power.
-I was lazy, so I just copied the electric code and changed "charge" by "colour". Don't use that variable to refer to photon energy in any way or weird things happen.

+ Added Entangletrons.  Energy was getting randomly shunted around the universe after the maximum speed parameter was added.  Entangletrons are now radiated out in a choatic fashion to give the simulation somewhere to put the excess.
