Played it many times. It gets to a point though where everyone reaches a limit to how loud you can shout penis. You pretty much end up with about 9 guys chanting 'PEEENIS. PEEEENIS. PEEEEEEEENIS. PEEENIS.'

That's usually the end result, yeah. That's why it's best to play with novices and meek people.

A more funeral-friendly version uses 'diarrhea' instead, and really any word can be used depending on the situation. 'Bomb' in an airport probably wouldn't work out too well though.

I've played it. I also abused the rules by yelling: "Sinep!"
'Sinep' means mustard in Estonian...

I feel like I have reached a new level of enlightenment.

I admit I've played it a few times, although we said vagina because shouting penis in an all girls school was weird...
Once one of the teachers even joined in. He didn't stay around much longer, which was sad.
I think any Teacher screaming a Sexual Organ, let alone a MALE TEACHER IN AN ALL GIRL SCHOOL screaming about the FEMALE Sexual Organ, would be all that impressive with his coworkers...

Vulgarity, is the stuff. It's awesome.

I mean hell, we have a game of shouting an obscene word louder and louder till someone gets offended. Clearly it's innate.

In England schoolchildren also play it with the word "bogies" ie snot.

Someone tweeted "bogies" to brian blessed once, and his response amused me.

We had a tangentially similar version of this that we used to play around one of our mutual friends. We'd just casually work a slew of similar-sounding words into conversation (usually quickly and under our breath) that made absolutely no sense in context. And then deny it if asked. We'll call the victim "Bob", and illustrate thus:

Me: Yeah, so I was going down to the store yesterday and rhubarb get a new book when--
Bob: Wait...did you just say rhubarb?
Me: Huh? No. Where the hell would you rutabaga get rhubarb out of that?
Bob: You just did it again! Except...was it rutabaga this time?
Me: Dude, you're freakin' me out.
Accomplice #1: Yeah, maybe you should root beer go have a smoke or something...

Great fun. Especially with someone who's paranoid. We kept this up for weeks before finally cracking up.
Of course, he now physically assaults us if we say the words rutabaga or rhubarb around him.  :P
