There is a slight crackle, and heat starts to spread throughout the vines that interlace your body. A moment later, a tickling sensation passes through them as they begin to burn. Another second passes before the sensation passes, although the flames themselves remain, only petering out when you let your concentration slip.

(( There may be a while before the main update, due to reasons i cannot comment here but are game related ;) you'll see why soon enough I hope. ))

You gather back at the ship, waiting only for Rylath. when ten more minutes have passed since the planned departure, the king glances once at the ship.
‘We’re going. We’ve waited long enough.’ He swings his warhammer into place over his shoulder, walking up the plank laid down between the shore and the deck.
‘we will sail out to the main cave, which I am sure you saw on your way here. From there, we will enter the source of these things. We will find, and destroy it. If we fail, the captain has instructions to take extra measures, and to seal the cave behind said measures. you will not have need of any cabin. The journey is only around an hour. Prepare yourselves well.

As you stride onto the deck, a muffled roar echoes from below. It is followed by another, and the sharp clang of metal upon metal follows. this continues for a minute, before the king glances to the captain.
 ‘Go silence our guest, sailor.’
The dwarf scurries below decks, a look of fear in the corner of his eye, and the king gestures for the craft to take off, which it promptly does, the roaring continuing as you drift away from dock.

As you move to walk down the stairs, the king steps in front of you.
'You may not want to do that soldier. things could get a little messy.' He places a hand on the strut across your torso, and lifts the hammer slightly from his shoulder.

A guffaw now echoes across the deck, followed by a loud snapping sound. then an eerie silence falls over the boat.
‘Wait here,’ the king says after a moment, looking pointedly at Kyle. then he strides over to the downwards steps, and passes below.

(( Right.... just been informed I'm not available tomorrow, day after, or for a week after Saturday, so this is probably going to go on hiatus soon. At least if you guys want to carry on? ))

A few minutes later the king returns, walking onto the deck in silence. He is followed by a single towering ogre, dressed only in a loincloth and trailing the remnants of chains from his wrists and ankles. In his right hand he cradles a dwarvish blade, a knife to him, and on his chest is engraved a single rune (C10) in deep scars.
The ogre glances between you, before crouching into a battle stance as the king speaks. ‘This is Darkling. he will be accompanying us today.
As you begin to react, another indistinct voice echoes down from a ledge roughly level with the ship, where there stands a black clad woman, a dagger in each hand.’

(( Anyway, input! ))
