((three runes @ 60g equals 180g - you don't have that much. he could use less runes, but it might not work out well. ))

Kyle counts his money and realizes he doesn't have the funds. He writes asking Selina if he can borrow some money.

((I'm going to regret this.))
Kyle writes that he wants to know what runes it would be and if there's a possible alternative to using three runes.

'Well there'd be fire, of course. Then one for armour, to wrap it to you. And one for control, so you could turn it off. Binding runes are all in for free. Skipping control would be a bad idea, and skipping armour.... well it might work out well. then again, it might not, rather out of our experience, that.'

(( you may not regret it, if the dice go your way :P ))

((I'm going to take my chances.))
Kyle writes, 'Okay but let's put the control rune on first, I would be bad to not be able to stop burning.'

(( Sorry about the lull but I've been ridiculously busy, so not entirely sure when I'll have the chance to get back to this. Hopefully tomorrow evening. hopefully. ))

Hope you get back to us, Sjm. Game burnout, it sucks if you have it.))

(( No game burnout yet. just RL stuff. I've won some kind of engineering prize thing and now my (UK) college wants hundreds of pictures of my team, and write ups and other stuff. Blegh. -_- ))

(( As i can't remember the exact prices you get a discount, mainly due to the delay in my update. Especially as I'm not sure you could otherwise afford it. you spent the 50g from the wages as well as 30 of the 35g you had on you, leaving 5g over. ))

The dwarf takes the proffered coins and walks into the back room, gesturing for Kyle to follow.
He turns to a chest set beside the wall, and removes from it a long sharp stylus, the end of which glows red hot.
‘Best hold still now,’ he says, as he takes the stylus to one of the unmarked struts across Kyle’s torso. Firstly, he engraves a figure of eight (T1). In the left hand circle, he scratches an orderly rune, smooth lines forming a sphere (A6), whereas in the right hand side a more chaotic rune takes shape, the same one as was used on the ship (B3). As he finishes the work a brief flare comes off the runes, before cooling back into the metal. Kyle emerges from the room unlit. Almost two hours have passed since you parted ways with the king.
