"I've never had much patience for the Gods, but don't they usually only bother to help their worshipers, or those who follow their credos? Most would be more like to destroy him, than save him.

Perhaps we should find a Priest of the Deity of petty larceny and skirt chasing, and ask him to help Kyle..."

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

"Well, someone go fetch one?" Ryxa says a bit impatiently.

Action: Hold the beast at bay until someone fetches a priest?

"I really don't think he's dangerous, unless you attack him ryxa.  I've been sitting on his shoulder for awhile now."  Rylath pats the automaton on the head and looks inquiringly at Ryxa.  "Besides, I rather like him like this."

Kyle remembering someone is on him picks up Rylath and sets him down gently. Then he does his best to make a disapproving noise and a gesture at the city.

"...Compatriots? Will not the marching of an automation into a crowded city provoke a hostile response?"

"We could take it to the city walls atleast, a lot more guards are there and knowing dwarves, catapults."

(Others)
As the automaton approaches, the dwarves move hurriedly out of the way. hands returning to their weapons, only to stop at a gesture from the armoured warrior, who addresses you.
‘So this is a friend of your, aye? At least he seems in control of himself. Who are you?’
The captain interjects - ‘These are the escorts we hired, sire.’
‘Ah, thank you sailor. Well they can certainly fight. I’m not sure a priest could help him much, at least none we have here. But we do have smiths and enchanters. And he seems to be made of metal. Well vines too, but no matter.’
He turns to one of the neighbouring dwarves.
‘Sailor, tell the smiths to ready themselves. And get Ironwrit to head down to them too.’
The crewman blinks for a second, before scurrying away. The doors creak open before him as he grabs Ironwrits sleeve, and drags him into the cliff face. They entrance remains open as the warrior walks towards them, gesturing for you to follow.
‘The name is Stoneson. you may address me as king.’

(Kyle)
As you step forwards, the huddle of lights pulses, and separates except for a single, faint tracing. It flicks slightly, and the others fall back towards it, dimming a touch. A few moments later, two of the lights head off towards the shimmering wall that seems to make up the walls and floor, and disappear into it.

Ryxa does follow beside the King, wondering what he thinks of a Drow walking beside him. Surely he had killed no few of them in his time. Or had them hung as spies or assassins. For all the lies people wanted to believe about the Drow...some were true.

All the same, she can't help but feel...intimidated...by one who so surpasses her own martial skill. Her skills are sharp, and she knows if she drew, she would be dead before her thumb cleared the guard. She has no doubt the same thought passes through the Kings mind.

It is true, there is always someone better...she remembered the last member of the 101 blades who had challenged the Dwarf King to a personal match out of pride-as it was unknown for her Order to test themselves against legends and heroes of the land...they couldn't even find a piece of the hero left in that battered armor after it was over. He was given a place of honor in their statue hall, though, for such a valiant death.

She shifted her mannerisms slightly. Dwarves usually did not like flowery speech or twisting words.

"Honored to meet you, King Stoneson. I am Ryxa Hunneld of the 101 blades.

Thank you for saving our lives. We would certainly have been overwhelmed without your assistance. What were those strange beings? ((this is assuming it's not common knowledge that I ask this))

Also, I believe in the customs of your people-I am duty bound to offer you my sword, for whatever task you deem worthy of it. My pride demands worthy foes to test my skills, and I find myself in your debt. That is assuming, our previous mission is completed in earnest."

'Those things? We don't know. And if you would insist on pledging your blade, you are free to attempt to find out. But you will get no help from me. I have lost too many good men to those things, and the closest we've come to finding the source is a large cave out in the canyon. But first, you will stay and rest, soldier. And we will see to your friend. You may wish to start planning, as we have come nowhere near to success, and we were going to turn to Darkling soon. But first there will be a feast. Whether for Ironwrit or the cloth I am unsure.'
The kings stoic expression does not falter as he talks, nor does his gaze stray from the path ahead as you enter through the doorway. A long hall stretches ahead, corridors exiting at intervals on either side from which echoes the sounds of swordplay. Runes (C5) dot the ceiling, illuminating a set of double doors set at the end of the passage, which the king heads towards.
