DO NOT USE THE MIRROR. SOME PEOPLE ARE REPORTING VIRUSES IN THE ADS ON THAT MIRROR. THEY ARE NOT IN THE GAME, THEY ARE IN THE ADS ON THE MIRROR. I dunno if it's fixed yet and from what I hear any halfway decent anti virus would take care of them no prob but why risk it?
OFFOff is a game that.... defies (non spoilery) explanation honestly, so I'll just let the forum post speak for it.
In “OFF” you take control of a mysterious person called “The Batter”, who is described to be on an important mission. The Batter, and yourself as his controller, are dropped off in zone 0, the first of 4 zones in a perplexing, unknown world about which you slowly find out more and more in the process of the game.
I'll cut right to the chase and say, the graphical style is good, the music is great, the story is great, the characters are great, and the combat... is most assuredly not. Luckily the auto combat feature is fairly intelligent and you'll only have to stop to feed your characters healing items/spells on occasion. On very rare occasion. It's not a terribly hard game on top of it, so yeah. It's also fairly short. Enjoy the scenery, and atmosphere (both also great), and suffer through the combat. It's not really bad bad, it's just vanilla RPG combat and never really changes much.
Some stuff to know, you usually cannot flee. Plotwise you are not the batter, you are only giving the batter orders, and while he's willing to put up with a lot of shit, he is not a coward. He will not run away. By and large you won't have to and the rare instances where you might, you can, so it's a non issue! But I like that they explained why, and it is a plot detail that is rather unfortunately easily missed.

Kindly at the very least don't spoil anything past the third zone as there's where everything goes down. Some judicious spoilers in Zone 3 would be appreciated, but I'll let you all decide that specific thing. There is also currently an LP of this going on on the something awful forums, although the paywall is up so you may have to wait a while to read it.
EDIT: Oh, pre-emptive warning. If any youtube videos pop up of the music in this game, people on youtube are being a little gung ho about spoilers so even looking at the sidebar may be a risk. if you're fine with being spoiled then go right ahead! But if not you should probably wait until you finish it.
