(Round 1)

Renn, fully prepared for an onslaught, would draw his gun and place it against the angelborn's gut, ready to apply several bullets of discouragement.

As the Angelborn attempted to overwhelm Renn with knowledge, there would be an opposite counter-flood of what could only be described as "ALL the porn" flowing right back into the sender. And it wasn't just images, no; this was a full sensory experience of the most hedonistic depravities imaginable (and quite a few of those the Angelborn had certainly never wanted to imagine, for that matter.) [ Feat: Bree's Blessing ]

(Round 2)

BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!

Renn would use the first three shots to cause some debuffing and horrible, horrible pain, as opposed to actual harm. If three shots and the magic didn't discourage the Angelborn, Renn would start actually trying to hurt him.

[Shot 1- Demoralize: Does exactly what it sounds like it does.
Shot 2 - Agony Curse: Causes intense, horrible agony (but no HP damage) for 12 hours, during which time they are unable to be healed and/or regain mana.
Shot 3 - Mana Burn: Applies the status of "Mana Burn", draining 5 MP the first round, 4 the second, 3 the third, so on.]

"Quit while you're behind, punk!"

[Renn, Gunmage: 43 HP / 5 MP  (WAVE OF KNOWLEDGE) (3/6 shots remaining)
Thales, Angelborn: 35 HP / 24 MP (Mana Burn, Agony Curse, Demoralize, WAVE OF PORN)]

Seeing himself ignored and the fight still continued, the elemental gritted his teeth. Now he was angry. Clanking up to the two, almost stomping now which made the dull clink into a loud clank, the elemental tried to shove both of his arms between the two offending parties and roughly shove them away from each other. "STOP."

Jewel shouted a clear message to the both of them, and if he was successful shoving the two apart he'd position himself between the two, planting his feet to hinder attempts to move him. "We ally! Stop fight." The elemental wheeled to glare at Thales. "You anger? Hit me, stop anger. We ally." Looking to the man who was to bring this about, his glare was brought to bare at him. "You stop. No anger. We ally, yes?"

Nathan had a pistol out, pointing to the air. He saw it was a pointless gesture as by the time he had done so, Renn had already countered.
''Holy cow! Wish they taught stuff like THAT at the Schola!'' Nathan looked at Renn in renewed admiration, despite barely knowing what he did yet.

[glow=silver2,300]Sorry, Jewel. I must not shirk my duty, whatever the cost. This heathen scum needs to pay, and I can't ignore my duty.[/glow]

Still grappling with Renn, Thales pins his foe's gun against his body, then attempts to knock Renn out with a pommel strike to the temple.

''Sheesh, a god who can't take a little jibe must be incredibly insecure in their position.'' Nathan sighed. ''You wouldn't find Vijer fretting over some little mortal who thought less of her.''

(noted, however, it wasn't due to what he said, it was more due to the fact he's still attacking. At the time of last post, Nathan didn't know if Thale was going to continue. If Thale was going to stop, he wouldn't have said his last comment was all.)

Jewel was silent for a moment, before replying in Dwarven. "Then hopefully you will understand it is mine to prevent this fight between allies and within clans. I'm sorry." With that, the elemental stood solidly between the two if possible, trying to prevent either of them from making a move to the other by either pushing them aside or getting in the way of whatever strike or blow they will bring. The small elemental was mumbling to himself all the while in a strange mixture of Dwarven and Elementare. "...Mother of Mountain who provides for her children, Sister of Stone who watches and advises, keeper and proprietor of the Rookery of Rock that shelters your children, siblings and those who need it, grant me community with my mind and body, solidarity with my hopes and soul, strength to do my charge in life, as you shield us so shall I shield others in your name, my foundation as stone, my roots as mountains, my clarity as crystal, my..."

Round 3:

When a gun is pressed with its barrel against you, and someone had fir themselves between you two, the only way to pin it is to try to turn the gun sideways. Thales would twist, and Renn would simply pull back the barrel to press against the side of the angelborn's lower ribcage as opposed to midsection. At the same time, the angeborn would attempt a pommel strike to Renn's head. Sensing the move perfectly [Natural 20!], Renn would rapidly tilt his head under the blow. [No decay roll on the sword, since, y'know, no hit on Renn or Jewel.]

Obviously, he'd be too busy dodging and maneuvering to fire again.

Round 4:

Enough playing around. Renn didn't feel like killing the angelborn, so he tilted the gun's angle slightly down, preferring to not ventilate Thales' lungs, and fired. Owing, no doubt, to incredible luck on Thales' part, he would move at that exact moment, causing the ball to travel through the side muscles and come out the lower back, almost clipping his hip, pure Magic damage adding on to the ballistic. [4 Ballistic - 3 Plate Ballistic Soak = 1 Ballistic + 4 Magic = 5 HP damage No weapon or armor decay, no negative status effect.]

Thanks to the recoil (and Jewel's intervention), the gun would jerk back, and Renn would quickly fire again, aimed for the right upper thigh. Unfortunately for Thales, his attempt to dodge the bullet this time was a critical failure [Natural 1], causing the bullet to enter through the upper thigh and exit through the armor, narrowly missing the knee! [Armor Quality decay: Good -> Normal. 8 Ballistic - 3 Plate Ballistic Soak = 5 Ballistic + 4 Magic = 9 HP damage. Negative status effect: Bleeding, Right Leg Moderately Injured]

He'd back off, gunbarrel smoking, as his other hand moved towards the Roaken shortsword at his hip.

"I'm telling you again and it's an order: stop!"

The sense of mocking humor had gone from his tone. He'd wait to see if the angelborn could remain standing without wingpower, and try to keep distance between them until the angel bled out or backed down.

[Renn, Gunmage: 43 HP / 3 MP  (WAVE OF KNOWLEDGE drains 2 MP) (1/6 shots remaining)
Thales, Angelborn: 21 HP / 20 MP (Mana Burn drains 4 MP, Agony Curse, Demoralize, Bleeding, Right Leg Moderately Injured, WAVE OF PORN drains 0 MP)]

A Fishkin gains the platform at a loping sprint*, sees the three struggling, and promptly tries to dive-tackle the angelborn that's currently accosting his friend and one of his teachers. Avoiding the edge of the platform, of course.

Within moments of the fight, Renn would down his alcohol, sigh, fish a mana potion from a secret pocket, down it, and cast Absolve Suffering on the angelborn, relieving the curses from his system.

"Well, that happened..."

A sigh and a shrug.

"So I guess I'm head dishwasher for a few months and I'm not getting paid for a while. Things happen."

He wouldn't heal the wounds, of course. A Fire Giant would put the angelborn on the airship. Renn would wait for healers and masters to come, as well as the last party member.

Makes sure the angelborn is actually out. Satisfied, Rurail straightens himself up and addresses the two people near him:
"What happened herre? I heard shots. Arre you two alright?"

"Oh, I'm in trouble. But physically fine, yes. A word of advice: try to not provoke the angelborn. He's kind of pissy."
