As someone who wants to go into the game fresh and without playing the demo, what exactly is the interactive sales pitch?

Instead of a 'start mission' button, it's replaced with 'buy game' at the end of the demo. Your character can talk to the person giving him the mission, who says stuff like 'oh no, now you can't play over 15 unique missions of intrigue and mystery, I wonder how this happened'.

I am rather impressed with this thread and not saying this game is a cross between Dwarf Fortress and Spycraft or something along those lines.

I checked into this after seeing your post. It seems a small number of people(3 on the steam forums) are experiencing this problem so far. It seems to be somewhat random. What are your specs? Also, I would suggest shooting an email to the dev.

16 GB RAM
Windows 7 Professional (Service Pack 1)
And my screen is running 1920 x 1080 which might be causing some of the issues based on stalking their twitter.

I'd like to ask something from our American posters. Does steam tell you the game costs $9? Because it's trying to sell it to me for ~$11.77, and I'm feeling cheated, after creator's site told me it would be $9. (not that I don't think this game is worth $10-15, but I don't like being lied to).

I am also running that resolution and operating system. My CPU is a bit more capable, but I doubt that's the issue as it's only using a very small percentage. May I ask what graphics card? Is it an ati?

We don't have sales tax, and even with VAT (which doesn't apply for stuff I bought in the US, but maybe the developer is local?) it should only be $10.89, it is instead €8.99 (around $11.70-11.95, depending on who's doing your conversion, Google claims it to be $11.77)

Steam likes to do a "Not American" tax.

I believe you can buy the game from the website for $9, but it's only available through PayPal/Amazon/Buy with Google.
