You:

Doal Corrin. (Male, 25 years old, 5 ft 9 inches tall. Occupation: Sharpshooter, hunter.)

As childhood friend and lover of Mayor Foria, you were not born into a leadership role but seem to have landed there if only by skill and proximity. Though not officially a member of the armed forces, your skill with a riffle has placed your hunting in areas the Aztec have placed themselves in. Your bullets have, often enough, placed themselves in some of the more overzealous Aztec. You are the proud owner of a Remington 700 riffle with a high powered optical scope as well as tactical leather armor with Ghillie Suit You currently possess 157 rounds of ammunition for the Remington 700.

In addition, you also have a compound cross bow and 27 reinforced steel arrows for shorter range and reusable arrows most common acclimated to hunting or closer combat. Finally, you've a steel combat knife with a 7 inch blade.

Early History
Born to Havrold and Larla Corrin, a hunter and cook by trades respectively. You took after your father, who taught you eyes, patience, and mind were the most important attribute. Perception is honed by closed mouth and open eyes. Your mother and father still occupy your family's clan home with your 2 sisters. Your first sister Lirea is employed by a banana merchant as a clerk and record keeper. The other, Stala, is a tinkerer of sorts and is studying to be a gunsmith in the future.

You made friends early on with future Mayor Foria, and it appears. This friendship has blossomed into something more, though how far it will go is not yet set in stone, things look promising at the present time.

Background
A hunter by trade and familial background, you were tutored by the A.I. Hera. The Aztecs have tried to invade Ortex and you found yourself caught between the Ortex and Aztec lines. The Aztec numbers were rather vast, and though they proclaim to be fearless, a mounting pile of bodies showing no sign of ceasing to grow can deter them. One of your hunting trips placed you in the path of the Aztec, though thankfully for you, the Aztec did not understand the concept of camouflage or Ghillie Suits. Thus concealed, you slowly made your way around and into San Jorez Pass. Before arriving, you managed to kill 5 Aztec advance scouts: three with arrows (reused) and two with your knife from concealment.

Once inside the Ortex Parameter, you acquired a Remington 700 riffle with an advanced optical scope. You a segment of the Ortex army composed of 8 soldiers cut off from the main fortification. 3 of their unit were already dead including their lieutenant. You lead them back in a peel . Five (5) of those soldiers met their end under Aztez Obsidian swords (very likely captured sacrifices), and the remainder made it inside San Jorez Pass proper. Once in San Jorez Pass, you manned Charlie Position and a Remington 700. Once properly focused and funneled into a choke point and under concentrated fire, the Aztec advance was halted.

Stealth, perception, resourcefulness, and thought are your primary weapons.

Ortex City

You quickly leave the ship, heading towards the small improvised dock where the merchant's sloop is heading. A small group of the militia has already gathered there. You're certain that somebody already alerted the mayor, but she might want to hear your opinion. Then again, maybe not.

So, what to do with the merchants, and the New Panama City representative.

Meet the trader with the militia, as well as the ambassador from New Panama City.

Ortex City

You decide to join up with Mayor Foria later, and leave her to the New Panama City representative. Instead, you talk a bit with the merchant, or at least, his envoy. He explains that his master didn't see the use to come to land, as he doesn't speak the language. He tells you of the country this ship hails from, of the dry, hot islands on the other side of the canal. Apparently they tried to North first, but there was nothing but glass, dead and destruction.

After a while, the conversations spins of to the wares the merchants are carrying. They got some interesting technological artifacts, salvaged from the ghost cities the ship encountered on their journey. Among the more recognisable of these is some sort of satellite dish, what appears to be a mangled drone and the remains of a computer system. The envoy ensures you that the last is functional, but he does admit that the data is corrupted. They got some other trade goods on board, mainly weaponry (including one dangerous looking rocket launcher) but also some Autentik Karibean Rum.

You can probably buy a decent amount of scrap for food, but for the more expensive things the merchant wants better goods. Probably trading some weapons will suffice.

"I do wonder how long the food on that ship will hold when you travel so far and so long. Must get tedious, eatin' the same thing all the time....

[hand him a banana]

And we can bake that into many tasty things. My mother makes a great cake with it and my sister can get you a good deal on them. Keeps well and resists spoiling too....

Plus, this is a friendly port to visit in this crazy world gone mad. Once we've traded a couple times and know your men well enough maybe we can give your men shore leave."

Start by offering food for scrap, try to involve your sister's employer, the banana merchant if that is feasible.

Let the man know that you are interested in metals and ores if possible.

After this, see what the envoy from New Panama City has to say with you mayor/love.

Bump.

It's more fun if there's more than one person playing a game.

Well, yes maybe so, but ... I ... I dunno. I don't see so much interest with people posting for some reason. We do seem to have views though.

Ortex City

You offer the merchant's envoy a banana, and then leave him to the cities actual merchants, amongst whom your sisters employer. While it's likely that they'll manage a good deal trading food for the metal, you doubt they'd be interested in and willing to pay the price for the artifacts. If you'd want any of these, you'd need to return to the envoy later. Then again, it's not like they're going to sail out any time soon, so you got plenty of time to make your decision.

In the mean time, it appears that envoy has disappeared. One of the guards informs you that they went to the Ortex. Apparently the envoy wanted to ask something from the Aegi. A bit unusual, and indicating that the message the envoy brings is more than another request to surrender. You arrive at the Ortex to find the large metal doors of the temple doors closed, with guards in front turning away the those who get to curious. You enter the audience room through one of the side doors, only to find the envoy and an AI, you assume Athena, in discussion.

"So you found something of great value, and want our help to get it working again, yet refuse to tell us where it is, or even what it is? At least knowing it's purpose would be nice."

You can stay and listen for a while or interrupt the conversation. Or you could do something else entirely.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.
