You have all been brought into a normal meeting room. After a short while, a relatively normal, if a bit overweight, researcher walks into the room holding a clipboard with a look that has shades of confusion, anger, and disbelief. After a bit more sorting he looks up at you, and after a bit of annoyed glancing decides it’s time to speak.
“Hello, my name is dr. Smith. Judging from some of your looks of disappointment, you were hoping for someone you’d heard of, Clef perhaps? Kondraki? No, because people like them don’t get assigned the distracting and pointless tasks like orientation. I could list off a dozen things I should be doing instead of this, but you all just wouldn’t understand. Anyway, ‘It is my pleasure’ heh, yeah that’s one word for it ‘to invite you to the SCP foundation. You all come from different walks of life, but have joined in one purpose…’ oh this is just complete bullshit. Really, I don’t know why some of you aren’t in a prison cell, or at least a hospital, let alone on this team, but that’s not my department. I’m just here to tell you what mission you’ll probably never come back from.” He opens another file and skims over it, a slight grin spreads across his face.
”Oh, and I wasn’t wrong! It seems you all are going to a nearby lake. At this lake there is cabin which locals claim is ‘haunted.’ People go in and never come out… smell of burnt and rotting flesh… oh my this looks fun doesn’t it.”
“Well, I’ll be happy to never see any of you again!” he says as he closes the folder and walks out the door.
He pops back in for a moment and says,
”Oh, and I trust you won’t kill anything without it being absolutely necessary, or motto is ’secure, contain, protect,’ not ‘kill, kill, kill.’ He then leaves the room again, a bit pleased with himself.
You’re each given your own handgun, and your team is also given an unmarked white van equipped with a large number of handcuffs, airtight containers, a box with class-A amnesiacs, 3 shotguns, 3 assault rifles, and a tranquilizer rifle. You arrive at the manor after a short, and thankfully uneventful trip, and are faced with a truly disturbing site.
The dots represent the person who is of the same color.
The brown blocks are doors; the blue blocks are boarded up windows.
The white rectanglish thing is your van.
Obviously this isn’t all to scale, it’s just to give you an idea of where everything is.
You’re not quite sure why, but every cell in your body is telling you it wants to be somewhere else, soon!
