“Secure. Contain. Protect.” The basis of an organization which has saved world again and again in the name of science, not humanity. And while containing and protecting is all well and good, it couldn’t happen without the Securing, and that’s where you come in. You all are part of a task force assigned to securing new and unknown SCP’s. These SCP’s will be never-before-seen, with abilities nigh impossible to predict. Have fun!This will be a standard mission based RTD, with a couple oddities mixed in. first is the rules on modifiers discussed in the next spoiler, but second and more important is character development: your character will have set attributes (strength, dexterity, endurance, will, and perception) which change rarely, if ever. The main things to change will be special skills, fears, and other traits. These come from working with anomalous deadly artifacts on a weekly basis. You acquire special skills (seeing through illusions, knowing how to fight with nothing but one sock and a match, etc.) through working in the most demanding job of all time, fears are obvious, but will be commonly added and exploited, other traits include personality quirks, odd abilities, etc. which may affect gameplay.
Most rolling will be standard with 1-5 scaling between epic fail and epic win, and 6 being an overshoot, but when modifiers are included things become different. Most modifiers will come from attributes, but some will come from situations. ( e.g. help gives a +1, distraction gives a -1) In most cases any roll combined with a modifier greater than 5 will result in an epic success even more helpful than intended, and any one less than 1 results in a probably deadly fault. The only exception is that a [6+1] still results in an overshoot. (keep in mind, though, that a [1+1] is not an epic fail, just a normal fail.)

Once I get a team of 8 agents, the game will begin. At the end of each mission, the waitlist will be added to the team. I will run each person’s turn as they post, rather than wait for simultaneous turns, but if you remain inactive for more than 4 days I will PM you. That being said, it may take me a while to take actions these first couple weeks due to finals and such.
As for the people who have already said they'll be in this, you still need to make a character sheet.

Name: George Farber
Appearance: A rather average-sized man, he is bald and has brown eyes, a sharp nose, and a rather bland demeanor. Very average otherwise.
Background: George was found by the Foundation after an SCP was detected in his apartment. When agents investigated, it was revealed that the SCP in question was [REDACTED] and George had been living with it for several years. Agent's attempts to contain SCP-[REDACTED] led to [REDACTED] incidences of [REDACTED] within a 5-mile radius, only stopped when George managed to calm SCP-[REDACTED] down. George was later recruited by the Foundation after he convinced the SCP to come into captivity. He frequently checks on it.

2.Greenstarfanatic
Name: Allan [REDACTED]
Appearance: Allan has blonde hair, green eyes, and an enticing smile. However, for how much 'Looks' he is, he has a pretty strong mind. He wears a red turtleneck underneath his lab coat, and prefers to wear his signature Levi's Black Jeans instead of the issued orange spandex pants.
Background: Allan is your normal, everyday, teenage troublemaker. Or, so he was, until he and his friends came across SCP 024. They went through the customary introductions, albeit, a bit weirded out by them, and proceeded to run an icy obstacle course. Several of his friends died as he raced ahead unknowingly, and barely escaped being impaled by a falling icicle himself. He was so shaken up, he sat outside the studio, with his brand new XBox 360. Eventually, the SCP crew arrived, and found him there. They gave him the option of induction or amnesiacs. He chose induction. Mostly because he wanted to keep the XBox.

Name: Randall Kord
Appearance: A thin, tall man, with a solemn look on his face. He has medium length red hair and dull green eyes.
Background: A former police sergeant, brought into the agency after getting involved in (and slightly aiding) an SCP retrieval team's mission.
He has a distinctly cynical disposition and when he was in his previous profession, he was known for his by-the-books personality.

Background: All Nolan ever wanted was to go out and see the world...then fill out spreadsheets on it's vital statistics. He ran into a rogue scp-368 and almost released a book on it. He was snapped up quickly and accepted a position, to his eternal regret.

Background: Only recently came out of school before being attacked by SCP [censored], due to a sort of hero complex he decided to join the ranks of people protecting humanity from the SCP's instead of being mind wiped.

Name: William Joseph "Billy Joe" Browning
Appearance: A middle-aged man wearing clothes made primarily of denim (denim jacket, jeans, white wife beater underneath, also wears a light brown cap and hiking boots), has very short near-black hair that shows noticeable signs of graying. His features are hard, yet plain, and he has a prominent stubble on his lightly wrinkled face. Possesses small gray eyes, is a bit farsighted, having trouble focusing on nearby objects, though stubbornly refuses to wear reading glasses. Is of middling height, broad-shouldered and slightly overweight.
Background: It was a quiet evening in Southern Georgia as Billy Joe sat on the porch of his farmhouse and appreciated the delicate mysteries of life. Among the other things appreciated were the rather nice bottle of whiskey he had obtained from the liquor store that afternoon and the fact that his wife, bless her soul, was visiting her ungodly parents that week and had generously suggested that he stay at home, considering the way the last visit went. In short, all was as well as could be expected.
This state of bliss, unfortunately for him, proved short-lived, as he spotted some "plum-dang varmint agitators" (it should be noted that he had passed mild intoxication about half an hour ago) coming down the hill and traipsing on his property as though the Founding Fathers hadn't gotten together in that fateful time and drafted up the most holy document of all apart from the Bible, the U.S. Constitution. He didn't realize that these were SCP agents under the influence of ███████, known to ███████████████████████████████████ and ███████████████████████. After they did not respond to the first slurred request to get off his property, Billy Joe became somewhat peeved and chose to exercise his Second Amendment rights and get his trusty assault rifle.
Five warning shots later, the plum-dang varmint agitators were still closing in, clearly not familiar with how they do things in Southern Georgia. A full clip later (with an estimated accuracy rating of 10%) SCP agents ██████ and ██████ were wounded severely, agent ██████████████████████████████ was wounded mortally. Varmint agitators successfully deterred, Billy Joe then locked up the house and went to watch wrestling for the rest of his conscious period that night, falling asleep at an as-of-yet-undetermined (some have proposed "irrelevant", investigation is pending) time. In the morning, an additional SCP Foundation squad was dispatched to investigate the fate of the missing agents, and they eventually located the spots where said agents had perished - agent ██████ had crawled into a ditch and expired quietly while agent ██████ had ████████████████████████████████████████████████, no doubt under the influence of ███████. Further investigation revealed the location and condition of the shooter, who had to be left alone for a few hours before he was in a communicative state.
When the state was reached, Billy Joe was interviewed on the happenings of the night, revealing several curious facts. When given the choice of service or amnesiacs, he chose the former, apparently so he "wouldn't be stuck staring blankly at the floor again" when his wife asks where he had spent the night in question. And thus a new agent was brought into the fold.

Name: Lionel K. Donaldson
Appearance: Lionel is a man of average height with a wiry figure. He has brown eyes, is black, and has long black hair, typically worn in a ponytail. His face is wide and he has soft features. He has one missing, and usually wears a white medical eyepatch over it.
Background: Lionel was originally part of a British SAS unit whose first mission was in Northern Ireland, in South Armagh, then known as "Bandit country". He was primarily selected for his loyalist tendencies and his know of the land due to being a native. During their stay, the unit received heavy losses and Lionel lost an eye in an incident involving two IRA snipers, a car rigged with explosives driven by Lionel's handcuffed squadmate, and a border checkpoint. He was promptly dismissed from duty to recover. After recovery, he was sent to Afghanistan on insistence from him. After multiple successful tours, he was dishonorably discharged when he blew up a bridge that he was charged with protecting. He was then recruited by a mercenary company known as Red Wolf, and enjoyed a long career as an independent contractor. As he became higher in rank in Red Wolf, he was dispatched to protect what is now known to be a Marshal, Carter, and Dark outpost that was being attacked by rebels in [REDACTED]. He encountered several SCPs when the rebels caused a major containment breach, 3 of which he terminated. Two with his rifle, one with a grenade. After the base was overwhelmed, he was evacuated via helicopter with the other survivors by the SCP Foundation. He accepted the offer of becoming a task force member, and is part of the Foundation as of time of writing.

Appearance: He appears to be pale skinned, for the most part, and with black hair, and blue eyes.
Background: Came to [Redacted], a third world dictatorship, now known to be backed by the Chaos Insurgency. When asked why he went there, he cites moral reasons. The dictator at the time, [Redacted], died of a gunshot wound several days after the subject's arrival, and some of the Chaos Insurgency contacts as well. After several days of torture by agents of the Regime, he escaped, and helped to remove Chaos Insurgency presence.

Appearance: Middle aged. Irish. Scar traveling across is left eye from an injury that should have destroyed his eye. Dresses like a motor cyclist with a bandanna that says "Seize the Day". Has short blonde hair. His left eye is blue but his left eye is green.
Background: Originally recruited for an odd power he possessed (which is classified, mind you). After three years of service he lost his power power in thee same event he got his scare (which is also classified). Since then he has not seen much of the field.
