The Valiant King Cronus IV has gotten old, and has no legitimate heir. He has decreed that the lord who can accrue the greatest honor shall become his successor upon his death. Art thou prepared to take the throne?
You are part of the great Kingdom of Staria, a land beloved of the gods. Your neighbors are...
The Tumans, various savages and barbarians who live to the east
Serbaria, a kingdom similar to yours in the south. You enjoy neutral relations with them
Swenden, a hostile kingdom to the north who have once pillaged and nearly razed our capital, Bluga so many years ago
Gaustria, a nuetral kingdom to the West
Arkos, God of Life and Death, the beloved of this god can expect happy, healthy lives. His enemies can expect pain and death. He regards Atheter as a wide-eyed idealist. He is good friends with his sister, Deres. The King endorses his faith.
Deres, Goddess of Harvest, controls the quality of harvests and weather. Her ever changing moods can either lead to great prosperity or great famine
Merues, God of War, an angry god who likes to see nothing more than bloodshed, justified or not. Likes to see magic users horribly slaughtered
Arthas, Godess of Magic, wants to make the world safe for all practitioners of magic. Is in constant conflict with her brother, Merues. Currently, the realm does not see violence between her and Merues's worshipers. However, this will likely rapidly change
Bachonius, God of Wine and Festival, only wishes joy for all people, but he tends to be reckless and often fails to think of the future
Hermus, God of Commerce, fond of money over anything. To attract his attention either means great riches await, or great poverty shall strike you. He often enjoys Bachonius's grand parties, and is disgusted by the fact Atheter values 'sharing', which he regards as heresy.
Atheter, Godess of Peace and Wisdom, desires a world free of war devoted to higher thinking. Regards Bachonius as a drunken fool and Merues as a warmonger. Merely because she is a God of peace does not mean her followers cannot fight, and she has no qualms with followers preparing for war. So long as it is in defense.
Sphestus, God of Craft, values nothing more than a great blade. He creates grand weaponry, and rewards those who seek out and sponsor finely crafted arms and armor. However, he appreciates any kind of craftsmanship. He is on good terms with Hermus, as his followers often craft the goods that Hermus's sell. He despises Arthas, as her followers stare at books all day and she actively tries to stop Merues's followers from using thier finely crafted blades.
Aphrodesia, Godess of Love, Marriage, and birth, likes to see happy relationships prosper and husbands be faithful. She sees Atheter as a friend, whose peaceful ways encourage love. She believes Bachonius encourages adultery and the destruction of families.
