Killing webers is hard, since they insta paralize you.

1:Kill it from affar with throwing.

2: Sneak attack it, if you are capable to kill the thing with one blow.

If you're unconscious, paralyzed, webbed or otherwise helpless, all enemy attacks have a 100% chance to hit anywhere on your body with maximum striking plane. And the AI will always target the head.

You see, they have axe blade and spear tip. When you slash, you use axe skill. When you stab, you use spear skill. So they use both skills.

Hmm... how could it be done... perhaps with an itemsyndrome (calling a DFHack command - forget what that was called) that randomly transforms the weapon between two versions, one that slashes and one that stabs.

You can't transform a weapon like that. You'd have to run the weapon through a reaction in a workshop that gives you a new one what you just described is impossible.

Even with DFHack?  I'm pretty sure there's a lua field that can simply be reassigned to change the item type...

You could make a weapon that can slash and stab easily. just give it one attack with a high penetration/contact area (slash) and another with a higher penetration and lower contact area (stab). However you can only make it use one skill I could have an axe that uses the spear skill, even though it doesn't make sense.
