I will have another go too, and this time do a Rocky training montage at the start to boost my skills, and try to find some elf peasants who won't interfere with the camels on the way to Bloodspire. Hopefully I will arrive with functioning arms.

Any progress, Eastep? I don't want to let this thread die quickly like so many others have. If you're actively playing and just need extra time, that's fine, but if you think it'll be a while before you get around to it, I'd like to let someone else go ahead of you so we can keep things moving (these turns don't seem to take too long).

yeah, did my turn in an hour.  it shouldn't take 3 days unless you're training all your stats to legendary or you've lost both legs and are dragging yourself there

5 Malachite, 4078. 14 days remain.
One day, while sitting out in the dunes, thinking, I came across a strange paper floating in the wind. It advertized a fortress named Bloodspire. Despite the name, it claims to be a bastion against the forces of the undead and encourages people to go there. According to this pamphlet, it's a while south from here. Maybe I shall search for it. I put the paper in my pocket and gather some old hunting supplies, a back pack, and some rations for the trip.

6 Malachite, 4078. 13 days remain.
If I am to survive this trip, I must have a companion. After spending the day teaching myself to swim, I go in search of one. Nobody seems interested, so perhaps I must earn their respect first. I ask how I may help, and am told to kill a vampire a few houses over. I call him out and the crowd charges and slaughters him. I then sneak away to a different house and claim credit. A fish dissector and a farmer join me on my quest, and now we shall set off for the fortress of Bloodspire.

We walk a great distance and sleep one night in a town. We are making our way to a small pass in the mountains, but are ambushed!

Armok damnit.


I was corpsified by kobolds before I could even pass through the mountains. Oh well. Both my companions died as well.
