You can designate (via the mass dump, or individually by scrolling over with "t" ) all items within a trade depo to be dumped, with no repercussions! You want that giant rose gold corkscrew for that fancy new pump you're building? Just throw it in the trash!

1) Not a suggestion.
2) There are repercussions. Any items that don't make it off the map with the caravan (no matter how) will cause them to bring less next time. Might as well just steal from trade menu.

Elaborating on Bumber's point #1, in case it isn't obvious (I can never tell what's obvious anymore, sorry), the Suggestions subforum is for suggestions to Toady One about features... pretty much all the other subforums are about suggestions to fellow players.
