You tweet certain hashtags to the bot, @FF5ForFutures. The Commands tab thing at http://fourjobfiesta.com/help.php has a list of all the relevant tags.

Pretty much you send a registration tweet, with any combination of run-modifiers, then tweet when you get to the wind, water, fire and earth crystals in-game to have a job selected for you at those points.

Just thought I should post and mention that Zerker Risk Saturation is at 123%. If you have Berzerker Risk up, you have a 23% chance of getting a second Berzerker and are guaranteed one anyway.

I would say it's worth it just for the fiesta. There's not any email spam from Twitter that you can't disable, I think, and it's a very quick sign up. I don't use mine, at least, aside from the fiesta, and I know a few others who are the same.

So, fellow bay fiestaers, I have an issue. My wind crystal job is berserker, for a chaos run. I know the odds of me having to face the sandworm aka whack a mole with four berserkers is slim, I don't relish the chances. And Liquid flame is also gonna be fun, if water crystal doesn't turn up something nice.

Well @#$^. All it would take is dragoon and dancer, or maybe dragoon and beastmaster, to make this possibly one of the hardest possible runs.

Edit: I was half right. Chemist Dancer as the last two jobs. So far, my trio of berserkers, a bit overleveled at this point, have been tearing things up with their doom axes and already maxed out jobs. Which is actually nice, as it lets my sole geomancer also go berserk for easier slaughter of random encounters, or use axes for more controllable damage against bosses while allowing heals. Chemist is just icing on the cake, and dancer means I can give berserker ribbon, which is always nice. For having started so weak, I think this is going to end up being a pretty strong run, if only for the chemist.

Double Edit, the second: important fact for berserkers going up against the bomb sextet. The doom proc from doom axe causes life 2 to fire AFTER the mob is killed, thus reviving itself.

Yeah, my final job layout is Knight/BERSERKER/BERSERKER/Monk. I am the ultimate punch party.

Purobolos are pretty much what's stopping me from leaving the first world, since I decided a Natural Run would be fun so I have to deal with 2 ZERKERS for the battle.

Go to Jacole/Istory/one of the optional first world villages, and buy four mage mashers, and use them. They can't use life 2 when silenced, and three of your four guys can use them. I'd just have the monk kick constantly to wear down everyones health to reduce the damage from EXPLOSION!!!

Necroposting because it's about that time again. Preregistration for FFVF2016 is open now. One new command confirmed, #Upgrade makes you progress through jobs. Freelancer > 4x Wind Crystal > 4x Water Crystal > 4x Fire Crystal > 4x Earth Crystal.

I'm considering participating this year after seeing slowbeef's run, might record it too, maybe. Will have to consider it first. Maybe a regular random run, maybe berserk risk.

Okay, you got me. I didn't have access to the new rules, so I stalled and waited to update this until today. You guys obviously beat me to it.

Will probably run a CHAOS BERSERKER RISK run, as is proper.

Is there a recommended setup for this? I haven't touched SNES emulation in... probably almost a decade.

People tend to play the GBA version as the least terrible of the available options.

GBA is the best unless you plan to take advantage of some particular balance changes in iOS or Steam versions, or abuse some particular bugs/oversights in the SNES version.

Wow. I would have been the very first player to register with no750 this year, but as it turns out I'm terrible at twitter, failed to register at all the first time, and screwed up so I was in the wrong mode the second time around. Jeeze.
