If Griff hadn't decided at the last minute to feint and attack NQT, it would have been an NQT victory.
And that I consider a victory.  :-) I figured that I was screwed anyways, but might as well make everyone lose.

Drat. I can't even win a game I helped invent. This makes it an 8 game losing streak...

It's OK NQT.  Everyone else lost too.

Well it's not really a game. We're all just in beta. Besides we all know I won.

Win

I have won. As you can see by my day action described in my role PM sent to myself.

Quote from: Captain Ford
Win=After you die you can say "Fuck y'all" and just flat out win by using this ability. To activate simply say Win

Bahdit= You may edit you 'bah' post one time to inform everyone that you have the ability to do so because I, Captain Ford, allow that sorta thing because "Why not?"

Regardless.  I still expect some epic fluff telling us of the destruction of everything. ;)

It'll come, just not tonight.

The great thing about this ending is that it paves the way for a different setup in a very interesting world.

This game definitely needs more players to be successful, with potential for alliances between people with disparate goals (but not incompatible ones), and even the potential for alliances where the participants don't realize they are enemies.

(Oh man, I meant to post this last night. Oh well, probably won't see this until tomorrow, which is my day off)

I think an 8 or 9 player variant would work quite well. Did you think the picking of the powers went well? Unrelatedly, I think if an alliance had agreed to protect one another from the beginning they would have had an advantage over the others.

I'm happy to run the next one or let someone else have a go, what do people think?

The picking of powers went pretty well -- except that Nerjin misunderstood his Renewal ability, and didn't pick it because of that. Which is too bad because that would have saved his bacon and changed the outcome of the game.

I certainly have ideas for an Elements 3. I think I could balance it well for 8 or 9 players.

OOH! I just had an excellent idea. I'll sketch it out a bit further and then post it here.

Ending flavor and links to the chats will follow soon ... I've been stuck trying to figure out what a showdown between fire and water would look like but I think I've got it now.

Definitely tell us your idea anyways, Ford.  It's quite probable that it'll be implemented at some point.

It's not an issue. If you'd like you can run 3 and I'll run 4. Also I could use some help on the idea. I have a few MAJOR changes I want to do but I need someone else to look over them.

Well I'm auto-in for the next one whoever runs it. My losing streak is now 9 games long (ten of you count both rounds of King of the Mafia), and I've got a secret strategy that's guaranteed to succeed!

Ford, just one thing- I was a little irked that you gave out extra private chats. My strategy in this game was based on getting everyone to waste their chats on me and once everyone was talking the alignments became clear.

If you could reserve a place for me too in the next Elements game that goes up too, that'd be great.  This time I plan on doing more then just making everyone lose.  I'll make me win!
