Well, the SMGs throw a sick amount of rounds per second. Even my silenced MP5, which has had its damaged halved, can deal with most things short of a bulldozer or those freaking FBI heavies. (The ones who take zero damage from center mass shots.)

That said, shotguns are amazing in this. The Bane Guide I got for the CCE says just one pellet from a shot has to hit to inflict full damage. That's...basically the opposite of shotgun logic in all other games. So when you shoot someone in the face, they pretty much die, all the way up to FBI level guys. Our guy riding shotgun regularly doubles my kills (I tend to play pretty conservatively.) You can take out multiples if with one shot if they're positioned right. I don't know if I've seen anyone using the Secondary shotgun.

I've ALSO watched my friend with a Primary shotgun jump on top of a heavy's shield and shoot down into his face. He doesn't do it all the time, so I'm thinking it isn't a sure thing. But it allows him to deal with Shields on his own most of the time.

New update out, patch notes in the spoiler. It's about 980 megabytes in size.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I like some of the non-bugfix changes such as being unable to kick a person in the loot drop screen.

So just wondering... does anyone else find Bain's voice acting really stilted and lame?

Yeah, he definitely sounds like he's reading from a script. Sounds most notable in Rats when he's supposed to sound confused and distracted.

I think what bugs me most is that they also reused lines from Payday 1, where Bain's voice actor was clearly different (I think), and, in my opinion, better.

Our enforcer takes the locomotive when he has his saw. He likes it, though it's not as awesome as the last shottie. The Mosconi can one shot everything but bulldozers. I prefer the AMR-16 though, it's only drawback is it's small ammo capacity.

Apparently something was really wrong with the update and they rescinded it. RIP those with limited bandwidth.

Saws and C4 let us do the Ukrainian Job, Pro, Overkill in about 4 minutes. Can be quick enough to get out before the cops show up and the van leaves. Of course, you have to bail on most of the jewelry. $90k, 15 to 20k xp and cards in 4 minutes. Nice.

Nightclub takes 3 minutes (fastest 2:48), give 150k, and around 25k xp. It's so fucking cheated I fear they're going to nerf C4.

There's an achievement for doing the Ukrainian Job in 35 seconds, which is impossible without C4. So I don't think they'll be changing it unless they change the achievement.

I do really think you should get a pay day (Card) for every day that you complete. That's the main thing I need right now (Besides experience), and the fastest way to do it is doing shorter, one-day jobs. If I got a card for every day I worked I would feel much more productive playing the variety of missions I do, even if it meant that I only got the cards after I completed the mission arc. Plus, when people finally unlock that promised seven-day mission, it'll be pure awesome getting a massive reward at the end.

As it is, the game just encourages way too much grinding on fast missions, like Ukrainian Job and Night Club. There's already far too few missions. Having the game mechanics encourage grinding the same heists because they're more rewarding is just making things worse.

I know, and honestly, I feel like C4 isn't really op. It's just that Nightclub is insanely easy, and they should make nightclub harder, but people are complaining about C4, so yeah ...

Agreed. Once you're past level 30, you're flooded with money, and you need cards (and exp).

Double-agreed. Right now, there's little benefit to multi-day missions after a certain point, since you get fewer cards and the extra money isn't worth it. (Plus, less risk of the host quitting/crashing and you losing all your progress!)
