There were levels in the first Payday that I had a difficult time beating at normal difficulties. I tried Overkill a couple of times, and it was insanity incarnate. So many cloakers...

Cloakers weren't that bad, assuming they stayed out of melee range. Shields were easy if you spread out a bit and flanked them, or had grenades. Tasers were annoying, but not impossible if you were with friends.

Bulldozers, though... screw those guys. Unload a full mag into their faceplates, *BOOM* you're incapacitated. I once remember losing two rounds in a row because two Bulldozers spawned right in the middle of the escape route - there was basically nothing our team could do, what with a full assault wave behind us, a timer counting down the seconds before we lost, and two nigh-invulnerable death machines blocking our only exit path.  >:(

For anyone who is interested i will be organizing several games on release day and will be sorting out my TS as such so there are channels for all the teams.

I have currently booked a week holiday just to play this game ( i needed to book holiday anyway :P ) so i will always be online to have a game with for the first week its out and for anyone who has my TS3 info its free for Bay12 guys to use when ever and you can drag your friends in as well.

It looks like the BETA  is not likely to happen, at least as expected. The dev has changed the language he uses when discussing it and now considers hypothetical situations where the beta does not happen. He says he is considering compensating people who are entitled to beta access. I have proposed a solution to him but we will see what happens. Either way, the release is not far off.

I proposed that they make history by having a Free weekend just before launch, completely open to the public. Instead of a beta let the whole world try out the game and fill the servers. First, it has never been done. Second, it will likely drive sales through the roof a it's essentially a demo that gives players a taste of full servers and they will barely have time to scratch the surface of the game. All of those extra sales are great for the developer, Overkill, and us the users since it means more people on servers. The potential downside is that servers will crash or bugs will be out of control. Even if that is the case, and it probably will regardless on launch, it will result in a lot of buzz.

Further, as compensation to those of us who bought the game expecting beta access, the first DLC would be free and in addition a special badge/tag would be available called Hard Time. It would signify those of us who were doing hard time waiting to Heist again.

Bulldozers weakness is trip mines.  I kid you not.  Drop one and shoot it.  Kills them instantly.

Oh and if you play on 145+ difficulty on slaughterhouse, you're more than likely to face 4 bulldozers in the cargo container you escape through, and thats still not as difficult as Green Bridge on 145+.  What a nightmare that stage is.

Unless of course they don't fit properly and your feet blister up like bubble wrap.
Oh ho ho, but don't try to return the shoes, because they won't take them back once you've worn them.
Especially if that fat pig Tony is at the desk.

While I'm tempted to pre-purchase so I can play the beta, with release only tentatively a month away, I don't feel like paying out for an early preview.
