This video just released and I honestly can't believe how good the game looks now. I am blown away! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMfZI0iGwmo#at=229

I was kinda on the fence, but watching the amount of coordination required (or possible) is getting me kinda stoked about it.

I have spent the last four months constantly trying to remind myself that I was excited for the first one and it turned out mediocre at best. With the release of each new video I am being broken down. I need to join a crew of at least 10-15 people so that I can get in on a coordinated heist on a regular basis. Voice communications are a MUST though.

Yeah, without friends on voicechat, I can see this game devolving into a bad game of L4D. I didn't play the first because reviews said it didn't live up to expectations. (Although I now own it.) PD2 seems like it's got way more going on though. I like the dynamic missions.

I'm already on your friends list, and I have another friend who's also preordered. We both use chat frequently.

I'd also like to start making videos again, and seeing as how my first video was from Payday 1 it seems like a swell opportunity to do so.

Already pre-purchased 2, so if you want to heist all you need to do is add me on steam (look at my sig for it).

Wierd, BuriBuriZaemon didn't seem to have any problems. Can you give me your steam name so I can find you instead?

EDIT: I appear to have found you.

Looks fun.  The bullet sponge aspect turns me off of it completely though.  Watching the demos, I'm seeing robbers, even the stealth specced ones, soaking entire magazines of 5.56 and putting swat down with 2 or 3 rounds.  It doesn't really seem like it's particularly hard to fight off a whole cities PD.  Their names in the demo with the Swedish dev struck me as ironic, since the members of the crew in Heat all died from one or two bullet wounds.

Watching it for introduction of 'hardcore' mode.

There is going to be a hardcore mode, since the original game had overkill and overkill 145+. Despite it LOOKING easy, that's just probably because they're playing on a low difficulty for demo purposes, or actually working as a team. Even normal difficulty games can be difficult in the original Payday, and so many police officer's are thrown at you it gets rather hectic.

I promise you the game is NOT easy at all. It's quite difficult. The first stage is easier than each following stage as it goes along.

There were levels in the first Payday that I had a difficult time beating at normal difficulties. I tried Overkill a couple of times, and it was insanity incarnate. So many cloakers...
