So, I kinda want to play payday2 again (stopped about 1 month after release), but ... a lot of things changed. Lots of dlc, new perks, infamy (). I'd also need to motivate a few friends to play with, since it kinda sucks alone. Can someone do a quick briefing, cause I've looked at the contents update, but they don't really say what changed gameplay wise.
I've noticed that they fixed grabbing bags through walls and stuff like that. Are shotguns still weird (one pellet needed to do full damage) or has it changed too ?
stealth is no longer "dominate all the guards, run around risk free". You get 4 pagers total (does not matter who answers them) and dominated guards still need a pager answer.
deathwish difficulty is a thing, and it's kind of hard, but mostly just boring camping in a corner, grabbing minimal bags, then leaving.
Cloakers have been re-added. The safeword is "police brutality"
infamy is just a prestige system, reset your progress to get a higher number next to your name.
Rewards have been rebalanced, you get a ton more exp and cash now so you level up really fast.
skill tier bonuses removed, now you get "perk decks" which do different things. The important bonuses are shared between all the decks.
there's "preplanning" on some heists (and it's slowing being added to more) which is like buying assets but you pick where they go, and it's usually worse then assets because you have limited points so you can't buy everything.
You can pick and choose what music plays ingame with the music tab, buying new DLCs or the sountrack etc adds more songs to it.
Titan safes exist on some maps which can't be lockedpicked or C4'd.
old (british) hoxton is out of jail, it's even got a heist. new hoxton was renamed houston
John wick, the blatent advertising movie tie in for the generic action film of the same name is a playable character because...reasons.
shotguns are still weird.
desync is still a massive problem in stealth
