I'm trying to stay away from the beta so I don't burn out before release. I have gone through 2 resets already plus there will be one more at launch, so I can't grind through an infinite number of times. Got to stay away!

Same. Also, I discovered respec makes you loose half your cash invested.

#1 thing that needs to be fixed is when the host quits right now the game is over and you get nothing. Since there are a bunch of douche bags out there who quit whenever they don't like the way something is going.....a few selfish jerks ruin the whole game.

Many of my friends dont really see the charm of this game and wont be getting it. I haven't bought it yet either. But I'm really thinking about getting the beta. Any active Bay12 groups that play regularly?

Agreed. Ideally they'd implement host migration (host leaves the game, game is paused for a few seconds while a new host is selected and updated). Seeing as how they haven't added it already, I'd assume there's some technical issues preventing that. At the very least, they should let you return to the lobby, select a new leader, and start over from the most recent day.

The temporary solution, of course, is to either play with friends, or host the games yourself.

So it seems that Steam got the release date wrong on this one, and it IS releasing on the 13th. So you have 1 week to decide if you're going to preorder.

Yay! I wasn't likely to play this week anyways (TI3!), so having the full release when it's over will be nice.

Just a reminder for people that didn't pay attention before: beta stats will be reset before the game launches. So feel free to experiment with your builds, but don't get too attached for a few days yet!

It seems there is a terrible oversight in the way saves work, it saves only when you quit. I discovered that by losing 2 hours of experience (not that it matters since it will be reset anyway) when the game crashed, but I hope it will be fixed before the launch.

It does actually, it just sometimes doesn't load properly. Try starting the game again, you might have your stuff back.
