Whoops! Can't believe I didn't notice I copied the wrong link. Fixed now, thanks!

Still enjoying Redshirt. It's a relaxing break from Starbound. I also find it entertaining to see a satire of typical Facebook behavior; you'd think people wouldn't really get angry just because you let a single day go by without writing on their wall, but this is a serious thing that happens in real life. People get actually upset over such things. Not everyone, obviously, but enough people to drive me away from that site forever...

I also really enjoy all the little humorous touches, like the breakfast/lunch menus. I definitely saw "fish fingers and custard" on there a few times.

For something that looks like Grimm does, I'm a little shocked that it's 11 gigs.

One of many reasons I won't touch the site or the game. It's the type of grind I dislike.

It's not a grind so much as a time management game. You only get a few actions per day to try to please everyone *and* succeed at your job. However, I can see that the game wouldn't appeal to everyone.

Yeah, there's also a little bit of the career building and character building thing from Kudos or the old Jones in the Fast Lane, if you remember that. I thought it was pretty fun, but the way I usually play these games is to try having my character be an over-achiever  ::)

Anyway, the bundle also contains IL-2 Sturmovik, my favoritest game of all time. If you're into WW2, flight simulators, or realistic games, do yourself a favour, grab that. Then grab HSFX 7, get online, get shot down, be frustrated, but the most elated you've ever been once you rack up your first online kill a year from now ;)

Also, if you do play online, get on Teamspeak :)

Latest Weekly Humble Bundle contains a game I've wanted to try for ages, Luxuria Superbia. Bought it, played with it a bit. It's very... sexy. Erotic, in a strange cartoonish sort of way. Hard to explain. Anyway, I think it was worth $1.

Min $1:
Luxuria Superbia
And Yet It Moves
The Dream Machine (chapters 1-3)
Min $6:
Dear Esther
The Bridge
7 Grand Steps

I'm curious about 7 Grand Steps, looks like it might be fun for a while, but not worth $6. Especially since I already have Dear Esther and it turned out to be rather disappointing.

Also, the current Groupees Steampunk bundle has a lot of ebooks and comics in it, along with some games. I grabbed it for the ebooks - I'm finally getting a Kindle and it'll be good to have all that extra reading material. The games look kinda meh to me. Might try a couple of them.

Okay, I went in and got the Sid Meier pack, mostly for Civ 5, but I just started messing around with the two Ace Patrol games and while the Pacific skies one feels a little less polished and less "complete" than the original, they're both well worth the $1 minimum buy in. Simple, quick, but fun and in this case, quick might be an up side. I found myself starting one or the other up when I had 10-15 minutes to kill and going through a couple of missions.  It's a weird thing to push air combat into a hex map turn based strategy game, but it really does work well and if you know what you're doing, it really does reward proper air combat tactics. It's really a light-hearted alternative to my playing War Thunder and experiencing nothing but rage lately. It probably won't stick around in my "currently playing" list for too long, but I still claim it's definitely worth the $1 even if you've got everything else on there.

oh, balls.  i pissed around too much with indecision and missed that Blink Bundle.  Thought I had plenty of time :(

Really wanted to check out Light of Altair, and would not have mind reliving a little bit of Archeon.  Oh well.  May have to pay full price for it at some point here.

Speaking of innovative turn based dog fighting, I'd really love to see some expansions or sequels to that Steam Birds game.  Talk about potential, that basic game framework could have been expanded into a hugely successful franchise (says me).

But i am really really limited on funds atm because of "stuff" and dont know if i should wait for the complete version on steam to go on sale?

Suggestions?

It is definitely worth it! I bought Civ 5 when it came out off the shelves, but this is definitely way cheaper, $10 for pretty much every major expansion, plus Pirates!, which is a nice bonus. I didn't get the $15 for the Brave New World, but the Beat the Average expansions are a bunch of fun, and Civ 5 is worth days of play. I seriously doubt it'll get any cheaper than this, and definitely not any time soon.

You need all the major expansions out thus far to even close to be considered a proper Civ game.

Civ 5 is supposed to be a lot simpler than the previous games, though, as far as I can tell. No reason it has to be exactly like the others. I've played a fair amount of them, and five is up there at the top for me (and I didn't own any expansions until this bundle came out). The previous games get waaaay more micro-managey and complex, for sure.

I only really felt like I needed the expansions so I could play this fun Madoka mod.

A civilization without diplomacy does not work well. If all you want is a tabletop wargame, feel free to continue with the base game.
