Has anyone bought the bundle yet? I'd like to try Intake but I'm short on cash at the moment and I'd like to hear a review or two before making the decision...

Check your PMs.

Well thanks to an unexpected act of random generosity, I have just given Intake my first try. The music is nothing groundbreaking, but it's certainly enjoyable if you like dubstep. The quality of the game is on par with the other Cypher Prime games - excellent. Everything is very smooth and fits together perfectly.

The gameplay is insanity. I've never had particularly good reflexes, so I didn't last overly long, but I did make it to level 18 on my first try. Of course, with the pace of the game, that took about 2 minutes. It's fun. Very fun. And very intense and adrenaline-pumping. On the other hand, I wouldn't recommend playing for extended periods of time. You might go insane.

Better to watch a video than have me type about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qExNAO51nU

I also spent a few hours playing Fractal earlier (which I had from an earlier bundle). Another excellent game.

I haven't tried Auditorium or Splice yet, but even if they're terrible (and that would really surprise me), I'd say this bundle is definitely worth it.

Note: all talk of performance is in the context of Android devices. If a game has an Android version, I played it there.

Pulse, the only Android-only game in the bundle, must require a larger device. The HB app says it's unsupported on my phone.

Fractal runs great on my LG Venice. I quite enjoyed it so far. I can see how some later stages could get pretty difficult.

Splice... It's an interesting puzzler, but it doesn't run very well.

I haven't looked at any of the non-Android games yet, so no comment there.

Auditorium is pretty great so far.

Wow, Auditorium is amazing. It's like the opposite of Intake... Slow-paced, relaxing. Intake is like a pre-workout game, something to get your blood pumping. Auditorium is like a pre-bedtime game. Relax, chill, forget your worries...

I wish I could play Pulse. Maybe I'll find a friend with a tablet and persuade them to lend it to me.

I didn't have any real troubles with Fractal until level 24. Now I've been stuck there for a while. The difficulty really ramped up suddenly.

Just have to try Splice now.

splice is pretty great, runs fine on my TF201.  but I did get stumped at one point on the last level of a phase.

I go back to it occasionally, but can never get better than -1 actions.

My childhood is for sale in the latest Humble Weekly.

Ten Team17 games for $6. Includes Worms: Armageddon.

That's all you need to know.

Are they any different, or is the last one just the best of the series? Also, I'm looking at these for gameplay value, not nostalgia value. For that I'd play the original Worms ;)

Based on my limited experience, they are all basically the exact same game. Correct me if I've missed something.

Gameplay-wise, mostly. Reloaded was designed as Armageddon 2.0, so no wonder they are alike, but AFAIK Armagddon has a sizeable mod community.

There's also Ultimate Mayhem, which is a whole different game due to being 3D - it is, in fact, a combo of two of the three 3D Worms games. I've played both of the games UM compiled into one, but I have no idea how the UM is itself.

Plus there are some Dork Age games - Worms Pinball is exactly what it sounds, and Worms Blast is a casual puzzle game in the vein of Puzzle Bobble, except with a competitive two-player gimmick mode.

Puzzle Bobble/Bust-A-Move has two player competitive.

Armageddon is still basically the best all round in the series, though 2 was the most broken with the weapon editor. (One hit instant kill prod, shotguns that explode the map like dynamite, ect.)

I said a gimmick competitive two player, not just competitive two player. Every now and then the barrier between two players opens and you try to shoot the other guy, Worms-style.

Heh, I remember the editor. I gave the revolver a ludicrous number of shots, then sat and waited for it to stop shooting.

Why is Armageddon better than Revolution?

Why is Armageddon better than Revolution?

It's not so much that the newer ones are worse, it's just that they are all basically just Armageddon again with some stuff tweaked or a handful of new weapons.
At least that's how it appears, I'll admit I have not played Revolution. Have they added anything significantly expansive or different?

I think that's the one where you have four classes of worm and you have to gain coin crates that drop in order to purchase weapons.

Also, they screwed up the ninja rope. It's now got rope physics.

Having only looked at the trailer video, Revolution is indeed the one with multiple classes, and it seems to imply that they have different amounts of weapons, equipment and health.
