I have no idea how relevant the tutorials are, but you can produce various natural resources and food as well. I've just seen oil and different types of farms, but there may or may not be more. You're also supposed to be able to create several towns and set up your own market between them.

Just stopping by to say that the Blood Bowl edition in the humble weekly deal is out of date as the newest one is currently "Chaos Edition". I'm not sure how many people play legendary anymore but I'm going to assume it's a lot less than Chaos.

legendary edition and chaos edition are compatible in multiplayer, the latter just adds 3 playable races...

Legendary and Chaos can play with each other and Chaos adds nothing else but a couple races? Now I can see why everyone hates Cyanide so much.

It adds a few other minor things like a stadium or two and maybe some star players, but yeah...

The really amusing part is that 2 official teams are still missing, one of which is the Chaos Pact. How can you call your game Chaos Edition but not include the Chaos Pact? I guess Cyanide works in mysterious ways.

Humble Bundle with Android 7 is now out.

I can definitely vouch for Greed Corp. Amazing game, vastly unappreciated. Feels like a really smart boardgames. Too bad multiplayer never really took off. It's got a fairly long campaign too. The theme is also amazing.

Worth it for just that, in my opinion, but there's a couple other titles that seem interesting.

Ticket to Ride is a good game but highly priced for the gimpy implementation. You can't hotseat play at all. Got an Android tablet or laptop computer and friends to play with no setup or teardown? F*U. You all can't play. Hotseat Android board games exist, complete with hidden hands, and some are free. It can be done. Carcassonne did it. Even DOS era games could do this, but in the age of "everyone needs their own copy" and "everyone is online so deal with it" you have to pay big bucks. This is absolutely not in the spirit of board games. You don't need four copies of Monopoly to play Monopoly with four players. Your pawns are not sold separately for $5 each.

On the weekly bundle, is the Sherlock Holmes game worth getting? Anyone have any info on what kind of game it is? The trailer really doesn't give much of an idea... Just seems to be a bunch of cutscenes. No idea what the gameplay would actually be like.

EDIT: Aha, found a review on Youtube and it actually looks like something I'd enjoy. I am a big Sherlock Holmes fan, from the books to the BBC series. I think I'll go for it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCvdrEz8ER8

Really? I've read several articles about how Ticket to Ride is one of the leading (mainstream) mobile boardgames out there, in terms of design and utilization of technology. Admittedly, the article I read was specifically discussing their iOS work, but to think their Android port would be so shoddy is somewhat a surprise. (One of the things I recall reading in an article was specifically group play.)

The Android port of Ticket has two options for play: solo and online.

Right now iOS seems to have attracted all the official versions of board games. Android has some unofficial ones that are quite well done. Condado (San Juan) is free and does hotseat well. When one player is done with their turn it kicks up a button that says pass to next player and they touch that button to open their hand of cards. Carcassonne has no hidden info so hotseat is just passing the device around. Catan shows the hand of the next person, which is awful. Ticket doesn't even give the option. What Ticket has is two storefronts. You buy the base game in google and you buy the maps from that app.

Ticket must have added it recently because older versions did not have hotseat. Hotseat hides your hands.

wow, this humble android bundle looks sweet.  I've been putting off getting Bard's Tale for a while, I played the shit out of the original trilogy and this remake is produced by the man himself.  Would pay the price just for that.

Most of the other games look entertaining, too.

I also threw down for the latest couple Bundles of Holding.

This seems to be a good marketing model: I'm far more likely to pay less for something I might use, than to establish a solid enough use case (build up desire for) something to justify paying full price.

I've got dozens of games now that I may never download and install, but I don't feel bad about it at all.

Indie Gala has all of the Red Faction games up for fairly cheap.

If you haven't played Red Faction: Guerrilla, NOW IS THE TIME. SERIOUSLY.

The other ones are meh, including the idiotic corridor-shooter sequel Armageddon.

Counter-meh. YMMV on Guerrilla and Armageddon.

RF1 and Armageddon are quite similar (although RF1 is more open world, believe it or not). My only problem with it was the absolutely insane last boss.
After thoroughly enjoying RF1, I tried RF2. 5 minutes into the game I decided that it was a downgrade from what RF1 was, and, considering that the stories had nothing to do with each other, promptly uninstalled.
Played RF:G after, it was alright. I could see how people really enjoyed it, but for me things were either way too easy or way too difficult, there was no inbetween (yes, even blowing up large buildings).
Before all of them, I played RF:A. RF:A plays much like RF1 does, and it's a fun little shooter if you're not looking for tons of complexity. The ability to reconstruct things comes in pretty darn handy, besides it being necessary for the plot.

New Humble Weekly Bundle: Cipherprime

Base Games:
-Splice
-Fractal
-Pulse (Android only!)

Pay $6 or more:
-Intake (debut)
-Auditorium

So basically, a bunch of beautiful games with great music. Splice is a puzzle game based around splicing genes. Fractal is another puzzle game about pushing hexoganal blocks to form bunches (I have this one from an earlier bundle, and I do enjoy it). I really want to try pulse (you tap moving balls to the time of the music) but sadly I don't have an Android device. Really wish they'd make this one for PC.

Intake looks fairly simple: click on falling pills to destroy them. The appeal seems to be aesthetic. The graphics are lovely and the soundtrack appears to focus on dubstep. I might pay the $6 just for the soundtrack, though I hesitate because you can only hear a few seconds of it in the preview. Auditorium also looks worthwhile - a "relaxing" puzzle game where you redirect streams of light to create colors and sound.

Has anyone bought the bundle yet? I'd like to try Intake but I'm short on cash at the moment and I'd like to hear a review or two before making the decision...
