Star command is actually pretty fun, but it's really buggy for me. First, the music went away, then the sound effects, then the saves :V

Yeah same here. I paid $1 for it, which made me guilty since it seemed like a really cool game. Then later on regretted it because Star Command has only like 2 hours of fun. I actually won Star Command on Heavy (because I chose Normal difficulty and a bug thought I chose Heavy). The ending totally sucked... at least I assume it was an ending because I'm unable to do anything new.

Star Command has a bunch of plot holes everywhere too. What happened to that guy? Or those other aliens? You'd expect such interesting encounters to at least repeat themselves.

I just stopped playing at the point they told me I got a bigger ship and then didn't give me a bigger ship. WTF?

Oh well, Punch Quest is well worth the $1. Didn't like the other two games, thought they were about freeware quality. Punch Quest is pretty damn awesome with a fast enough device.

A day or so ago, Karateka, God of Blades, and QWOP were added to the Humble Mobile Bundle.

They're not available through the app, though. Disappointing.

At least one of those is. That app has always been a bit slow. You have to force it to update at times.

They're all there.

The email said downloads for the new games were available and they didn't show up when I checked the app, so I assumed. After forcing an update, they appeared.

That makes things easier. Thanks.

SupCom is well worth the cash.

You're missing Darksiders II from that "Pay more than $6" listing. It's well worth $6 just by itself. You can pick up SupCom for $5 elsewhere (I got mine at Target). Same with The Guild 2.

The only other game I'm familiar with is Red Faction: Armageddon. A lot of people were upset that the series went from Red Faction: Guerrilla's somewhat open environment (limited at different stages of the game) and play style to a more run-of-the-mill FPS that just had environmental destruction mechanics. I still found RF: A enjoyable.

Not familiar with Painkiller, ArcaniA or SpellForce 2, though. I'm really only looking at them since I own everything else on the bundle.

Hmm, might throw down for Gothic 4 and Guild 2.  I always wanted to check out Guild, and never got around to it.

Gothic was one of my favorite games, but unfortunately they quickly strayed from the simple narrative of the first game and fell into the common fantasy trap of world-ending conspiracies and super-mage-dragon-demon things.  yawn.

This Arcania thing sounds like it is more of the same as far as that is concerned, but the bundle might be worth it for Guild 2 alone.

Looking at the lineup, some of the others fall into the same trap.  Red Faction Guerrilla had a great story about a civil uprising and low-scale insurgency, but Armageddon is all about crazy "we'll destroy the world with alien super science" or something like that.  again: yawn.

Armageddon is about stopping a guy trying to use a genetically-modified alien species to purge the world so that he can own it. It's actually a throwback to the original Red Faction game, considering you fight some of those genetically-modified aliens. These ones have just had more time to freak out their genetics in the ground.
RF: A is a decent shooter, its only problem is that it suffers from being a sequel to RF: G. RF: A actually plays a lot like the original RF, so it's, in a way, even more faithful to the series than RF: G is. RF: G was just a really neat experience.

A note about Guild 2, it's reportedly not as good as Guild 1. That said, the improved graphics and GUI might be enough to sell Guild 2 over Guild 1, because although Guild 1 is interesting, it's just painful to play. I've spent hours on the game and still stumble upon essential game mechanics that I wasn't taking advantage of because I couldn't find the damn things.

There are a bunch of games in there that are worth the cost. They're all pretty solid for being that cheap.

Also, Gothic 4?? Where do you see that?

Arcania is Gothic 4, made by a different studio but same hero in the same world.

Gotcha.

According to Metacritic scores, you'll want to avoid this bundle unless you want to nab The Guild 2 (since all the bad reviews praised it except for technical issues that have since been patched out), Darksiders II or the SupCom games.

The Guild 2 is not what you want. You want the Renaissance version.

Keep in mind all the games come in under two big Steam keys, meaning if you just wanted to pick it up for stuff like SupCom or Darksiders II you will also have to saddle your account with all the bad games as well. I only found this out after buying it, and is reason enough to not want to use the keys at all.

Be mindful that The Guild 2 is buggy. I had a savegame in which it constantly rained in my city.

I still grabbed this bundle because of Arcania, SupCom, and Darksiders 2.
