So, Threadspace Hyperbol is in the latest
Indie Gala. I won't say anything about the other ones, and I'll start by saying that Threadspace: Hyperbol is mainly a multiplayer game, and noone plays anymore. That said, it's one of my favourite games of all time. It was
way ahead of its time.
Here's a
quick video. Basically you are a customisable "ship" that can move from position to position only occasionally, and depending on how you decide to upgrade it, you get access to a variety of different weapons, most of which play around with physics. Some create positive or negative gravity fields, some are black holes, some create walls, some are delayed-fire missiles, regular shooty bits, repulsor weapons, etc etc.
The game field is EXTREMELY dynamic because of all the deployables that change physics, and of how fast you can deploy more, and change or take out the ones that are deployed.
It is one of the most tactical games I've ever played. It's amazing. It also features a gigantic campaign level, where you align with a faction, and the more fights you win, the more of the universe map you conquer. And the more you play, the more experience you get and the more unlockables you get.
Damn, am I said this game died off. I would play it so much...
