Be mindful that The Guild 2 is buggy. I had a savegame in which it constantly rained in my city.

So, you encountered the infamous medieval noir bug. I can't help but imagine Inquisitor characters walking around the city, monologuing to themselves in Ye Olde Englisshe.

hmm, disappointing.

I already have both darksiders from some other bundle that I picked up for other games, and no real desire to play them.  I got RF:A rolled in when I got RF:G, and haven't managed to install that yet either.

Have SC, and tried to get into it.  Couldn't.  It just felt like every other game from Dune2 to Warcraft to C&C all on through the years.

Most of these I've got already, and it sounds like the ones that might have been interesting are actually downers.

Oh well.  Better off saving the money.

I got the bundle just for the Supreme Commander games. It seemed barely worth the $1 but I suppose watching robots kill each other is fun. I play RTSes just to watch things blow up.

Had Guild 2 a while back, it was buggy as hell and disappointing. Guild 2 didn't even work right out of the box - that itself put me off buying games for a long time. Once patched, it was just too easy.. no real challenge or anything to look forward to. I suppose the one that comes with the Bundle is patched and functional.

SpellForce 2 was actually quite a decent game, but it's probably dated compared to all the modern diablolikes. There's the RTS aspect, but if you're into that, you might as well play a MOBA.

So yeah, solely an impulse purchase. Maybe I could get some fun out of RF:A now that I just bought a gamepad.

Also the additions to the Android Bundle were also disappointing. QWOP is literally a joke game. Karateka Classic is worse than most games. The outdated graphics lack charm. The gameplay was poor. Being a port/remake doesn't forgive the fact that it's a horrible game.

Yeah, but if you wasted hundreds of hours on the original Karateka before you were old enough to have sufficient hand-eye coordination to play a game like that, it might have some nostalgia value.

This is basically why I'm happy with that bundle, even though the other games seem mediocre at best.

I remember loading up some old game like Fort Apocalypse or something, when I was a teenager.  I discovered to my surprise that, while it seemed very difficult as a child, it was totally winnable (even without any practice) now that I had developed better tactile senses and reaction times.

Of course, all that is long gone through mis-use.  I probably couldn't play those games any more, to save my life.

I bought the bundle for SupCom and was disappointed to learn about the AI memory leak that makes large games filled with AI players slow down significantly.

I was however pleasantly surprised with Darksiders II. It's not a series I was familiar with and I have been enjoying it quite a lot so far. It's well worth the price of admission on its own.

DSII still has some issues, unfortunately. Not major ones (except for one that I'm pretty sure did get patched out), but it was never properly polished. It'll also never get another official patch. Damnit THQ, why you be dumb...

That said, DSII is still a lot of fun. DS is also a lot of fun and absolutely worth playing. I really enjoyed its story.

Just noticed a new (-ish... been away for over a week) http://www.bundlestars.com/ bundle: Warframe, GTR Evolution (includes base game), Dark Sector, Cannon Fodder 3, Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator, Space Pirates and Zombies, 1953 KGB Unleashed, Guardians of Graxia + Map Pack DLC, Guardians of Graxia: Elves & Dwarves DLC s of Graxia: Elves & Dwarves DLC. Steam for everything except Warframe which is... some kind of online multiplayer micropay, I think? ~3.60 if paid via PayPal.

Can't say much for most of them, but SPAZ is pretty fun (has a vague Star Control vibe for me) and I was actually just thinking about revisiting Septerra Core recently, so that's cool.

Septerra Core reminds me of Final Fantasy VII/VIII. Understandable, really, as Septerra Core came out two years after Final Fantasy VII. If you like CRPGs from that time period (personally, I do), you'll probably like it.

Warframe was... okay. It's really intended to be played with other people. Back when it came out, most people on my friends list played it quite often. Now, however, they all seem to have moved on. I would have put more than an hour or two in if I had a slightly better computer.

Doublepost!

New Humble Weekly.

  Cities XL Platinum
  Blood Bowl: Legendary Edition
  Divinity II: Developer's Cut
  R.A.W. Realms of Ancient War
  Game of Thrones
  Confrontation

BTA (currently $6)
  Wargame: European Escalation
  The Testament of Sherlock Holmes

Includes the soundtracks for Divinity II, Confrontation, and The Testament of Sherlock Holmes.

I already own Blood Bowl, but I'm sorely tempted. I've heard Game of Thrones is pretty crappy, but the others look nice.

I wish the humble bundle videos actually gave me a better idea of whether or not I want the game.

At a glance Cities XL is beckoning me because I like sim city type games.
From the trailers all the rest look meh.

To the youtube!

Cities has been a bad franchise overall. Either it's always on DRM or just incredibly shallow. Or both.

Divinity is fun. You get to be a dragon! RAWR.

Cities in an interesting and obliquely complicated take on Sim City. It appears like a minimalistic UI version of Sim City with unintuitive mechanics, especially if you go in thinking it'll play like Sim City. Most people who play Cities games seem to just want to play an updated Sim City 4.

Wargame looks interesting, but it also looks like a World in Conflict clone.

I've played Cities. It's different than SimCity, more about making a nice looking city than actually caring about traffic and stuff. You just need to balance the amount of something something lots/buildings (offices, shops? I forget) but mostly it's about making nice curved roads.
