So you guys can hear what it would be like if we had a modicum of electoral success, our goal would be that the MNB could maybe take a few seats in the Reichsstag and hopefully gain a position like Reichsstatthalter for the Free State of Central Africa. We would then pipe up occasionally if we felt that actions taken by central government were not in the interests of the colonies, and eventually when the issue of the colonies came up as a main one they could perhaps seek independence. We wouldn't even have to hold a referendum if we got into power; just try to defend the interests of the colony.

The SRP isn't focusing on colonial matters in this election either, so it wouldn't really make sense to join with a single-issue party. Perhaps when the topic becomes more relevant, but not now.

I see, so you refuse. And so too do the VDA. Nevertheless I would like the MNB to stand, that is all I ask. If the Gemeinschaft Deutscher Stahl- und Kohlekonzerne can stand, surely we can too. Give us the chance, it will be an exercise in futility but we should at least make an appearance. Make our voice heard for the future when this issue becomes important. It took quite a long time for Sinn Fein to gain any kind of electoral success.

An aside, Owlbread, but it's pretty funny that you use the same basic structure in your posts as you do in the political threads in General Discussion. This isn't meant to be an insult or anything, I enjoy reading them (and the threads in general), but anyway.

What bdthemag said, the economical crisis will make a party as you like it pretty unattractive in the first place.

but i have to apologizes i thought you wanted to play an independent nation...which would have been a bit of a strain.

After some IRC Discussion with Digital Hellhound, i realized that i have phrased much of the above stuff false. While Germany never had any White Supremacists running about, they still treated blacks inferior, but on the same level inferior as all the other immigrants, we had no racism but more of a general we hate all other nations thing.

Anyhow,however i didn't realize that your character was black. Which will indeed be problematic. Looking up German Colonialism/and Election Laws in Prussia and the Kaiserreich and all that stuff again, there is nowhere mentioned that a black man cant obtain German Citizenship, however, if he is living in the colonies he can't vote, since he is not living in an electoral ward (that is going after the laws from that time)


But i don't want to prevent you from doing your thing. If you want to make that party go ahead, it won't be very successfull but yeah...

I see. It may be helpful though that he is currently placed in Berlin, thereby allowing him to vote. But yes, he is black. I was thinking of a Marcus Garvey-type character. In fact I may even use that image in the future to represent Mr. Boganda - he's young enough there that he could be mistaken for somebody else.

But i don't want to prevent you from doing your thing. If you want to make that party go ahead, it won't be very successfull but yeah...

I just thought it would be cool, really. And, well, nobody else seemed to be doing it. Whenever I play Hearts of Iron-type games I often try to liberate colonised territories then play as them, like Vietnam or Syria or Palestine and such.
