Bet you can. Sucker has a short sword, thing is probably a meter long roughly, at max. That's admittedly a long short sword though, by then more an arming sword really.

Your sword is easily two. Play it smart and he won't have any room to retaliate.

Also true. I almost bet on lightning, personally, although frankly you would be a terrible lightning rod. Well, until you touch the ground that is. Then you're a wonderful one.

I admit I know little hard facts of how conductivity works.

Basically, the easier you can lose or gain electrons, the more conductive you are. Metals are such good conductors because they have this weird arrangement of electrons that leaves one or two hanging out further away from the nucleus than the rest.

Hm, alright, makes sense.

I was more meaning about lightning's tendency to pick the easiest path to the ground during a storm, and was wondering how that would effect such a case of flying. I suppose looking at aircraft would probably solve that answer.

But then electricity through magic, so the point is probably moot as it probably doesn't need to obey the typical rules of how it works.

Edit: Seems it would still cause damage due to Thales more fleshy parts. Suppose I shoulda figured that really.

Fun story: the safest place to be when dealing with electricity is encased in high-conductive stuff. Like solid metal armor.

It goes through the equipment instead of you-- though, you may want to remove it afterwards. It'll be a million-billion degrees.

Oh, cool facts for you;

He may be a bit easier to deal with soon, as Daethwin will hit a High C as soon as he realizes the fighting is inevitable, and that will either shatter his crystalline weapon, disorient and deafen him, break his arm from the vibrations going down the blade, or all three.

And when I say hit a High C I mean cover your ears or you may go deaf even if it's not directed at you.
