Do you think Myrln could somehow make the two groups of priests separate? Maybe use hallucinations to trick them into running in opposite directions? This battle would be a lot neater if I could wipe out all of the Coranthiirian priests in a few AOE blasts.

Well, it's possible he can.

It's going to get countered, and the Shinpriests can enter the ARMOR MODE at any time, which means they are likely to do as soon as an attack is beginning. You won't have much to fear from killing them with AoE at that point, given the whole soak thing.
