The Master was not a creative sort with names, so Castle was named where he lay dead and found near; a minor lord's castle. After reanimation, Castle had no knowledge of who he was, the memories lost in Limbo or just locked deep beneath the subconscious soul. But Castle knew this body was his. The Master didn't care much about this after-death amnesia; this was the first reanimation attempt he did which successfully recalled a soul to its previous body.

Of all the Servants, Castle was the most successful one yet. The master had been experimenting with different catalysts, different incantations, different rituals, different hosts; and by far Castle was the closest he had to achieving total reanimation of body and soul; recalling a departed soul into its own body without severe mental or emotional scarring.

Castle was tasked to work as a masseur at the Master's relaxation parlour in the city; a fancy building for rich nobles that do not care if they were tended to by mindless shells. More than a decade has passed. Castle was still working, but he was alone at a smaller building now, the parlor burnt down by religious radicals. A few of Master's newer servants; the culmination of his life's work; were destroyed in the chaos. That's when the Master went mad, locking himself even longer than usual in his quarters and coming looking paler than his creations, feverishly muttering something under his breath.

Then one day, The Master burst from his room, yelling. Yes! he screamed. Sarah! After long years you'll be with me again!" Grabbing his equipment, he rushed out onto his carriage, riding out of the city laughing.

That was the last time Castle saw him.

Castle was alone. The Master had already swapped the other servants under new masters long ago, in exchange for money to continue his research. He had waited a year for him, cleaning the house just in case of his return. As he was sweeping the floor near the entrance, a radical thought occurred to him. Master never told him about his life; who he was. Or who Castle was, for that matter.

Castle looked at his hands, a rare epiphany dawning. He slowly looked over and walked to the entrance of the house. He opened the door, and after staring at the cobblestone road for a few seconds, stepped outside without his master's permission.

There was no loud, booming voice in his head this time. No soul-rending pain. No feeling of deep seated fear necromancers input into their creations whenever they intrude on borders they are not supposed to tread. Castle looked around at the the crowds living their lives around him, walked through the bustle of activity at the market. Castle looked up the the wide, blue sky.

He was free.

And done. It's pretty late where I live right now and I'm not sure if what I've typed out is coherent at all, heh.

Seems we have a full beta party (an undead... fantastic XD). I won't be able to really get much done until end of tuesday tho. College *shudders*, just in case Beta party starts up in that time.

Also, yay, full Beta Party! I can only imagine the crazy things we'll get up into.

Anyway, on that note, Ross, anything else you need outta my sheet? Like, an inventory or more backstory, or whatever? I will say up front he won't have any magical equipment, I think that stuff is stuff yah gotta earn personally, but he will have mundane, if odd at some times, equipment.

Also, question about tradespeak. Its polyglot, so that means he can understand nouns and verbs, for the most part, from other languages? Although I imagine that excludes non-main languages.
