Update : the fire is spreading dramatically. A dozen firefighters were caught in a "wall of flame that a DC-10 couldn't stop."

They had to RUNLIKEFUCK, uphill, for nearly an hour. Minor injuries.

Houses are burning. The retardant lines have been flanked. They are trying desperately to keep 50 open and I highly doubt that they will succeed. Choppers are rotating for fuel.

Basically, it went from bad to worse. Thank God nobody died.

You'd think that somebody would've figured out a way to stop them more effectively.
BTW, what's a VLAT? I'd guess DC-10's a sort of purpose-designed firefighting aircraft. Mostly drawing off of your comment and my knowledge of, oh, what is it, the DC-27 passenger-conversion military-built aircraft.

Anyway, what would be acceptable metals for my sword and armor coat? I'm aiming for something extra nasty for the sword, because that's my favorite piece of equipment, and something low-power for the coat.
