He respects followers of Arnum, and you can earn respect by being faithful.

For reference: Daethwin follows Arnum, and my initial RP was me fucking up because I didn't realize as a player who Thales was talking about.

Also, it wasn't Shadowrun, it was Rifts. Which is basically; future advanced, Golden Age, apocalypse brings magic into world, everything goes to hell.

And they rip off basically everything. Cyber-Knights are psychic tech-Jedi, there's Gundam suits(in multiple varieties, from Glitter Boys with their stupidly powerful Boom Guns to the New German Republic's mech suits they use to fight off Gargoyles), 3 different types of vampires(only one of which is supposed to be played, but my dad played a master instead of a secondary), magic and psionics of course, mutants(including rules for making your very own TMNT ripoffs), dragons, aliens, etc. The New Coalition is basically the Empire complete with storm troopers and advanced prototype droids...

Only thing off limits is space travel, basically, but you can dimension hop anyway. Giant debris field in orbit, plus the humans who were living outside of it when shit went down shoot anything that comes up.

And no, he isn't the person, though it he might be their brother. Probably is, knowing storylines. It was a chick, I know that much. Physically oriented brother and magically oriented sister is fairly common(though just like he looks to have some* magic, she probably has some combat capability)

*By 'some', I mean that it isn't his specialty, just like Thales has 'some' magic, yet is the second strongest caster here.

That might just say more about the comparative mundanity of our party, though.

I'd more say relative. Our party consists of an earth elemental, a fishkin, an angel, a fae, and a human. Ironically, the human is the most adept at magic. I wouldn't say we're mundane, but we are largely physically oriented.
