You go back to your desk and finish packing your things. An officer walks up to your desk a few minutes later and tells you to follow him. He leads you downstairs to the B2 level, a secure area. You pass through several energy barriers which he cards open, until you finally reach the interior of the facility. He waves you inside and then heads back through the barriers, leaving you to find your own way to the S.R.C. Division.

Feel free to snoop around while we find our way to the SRC division- we don't know where we're going afterall.
We can probably inquire as to why we were transferred when we report to our new superior, and they'll likely be receptive to answering our questions, (what with getting a brand new employee).

Also: practice our mindpowers by thinking of the chief's head exploding, every spare moment we get. Headaches for days! Actually, we might need eye contact- try moving small objects with our minds, when we're alone. & not in camera territory.

You wander through the halls for a bit, passing unmarked metal doors and long frosted windows with unmoving shapes and shadows resting behind them. Oddly enough there aren't any signs or directories, or people for that matter, and you quickly find that you have no idea how you could get back, even if you wanted to. You're getting a bit flustered by now, and you blow a stray hair out of your face, smoothing it back into place. You stop at a nearby desk, and you can see a few pens and paper clips lying around that you could try out your new powers (is that what they are?) on. You close your eyes and focus, trying to recreate the feeling you had before when the commander's head nearly blew up. You slowly open your eyes and instantly everything on the desk goes flying in different directions. You yelp in surprise and duck as a cloud of tacks flashes over your head and stick into the wall behind you with a staccato of tinny thunks.

You stand up quickly, brushing your hair out of your face again and walking as fast as you can down the hallway away from the trashed workstation without running. You almost don't see the man in the black slipsuit walking out of one of the many blank steel doors lining the halls. You gasp in surprise and he turns towards you, cocking one eyebrow. You blush and look down at your feet, angry that you're so thoroughly embarrassing yourself right now. If you would step inside ma'am. We've been expecting you. You look up and see him motioning towards the open door, his handsome features formed into a smile.

Ask if he is the right division, then follow. Ask if he knows why we were transferred.

Well, be ready to pull our vester/explode heads, but go ahead and proceed through the door. Thank him for holding it open.

You give him a suspicious look. This place is pretty fucking weird after all. This is the S.R.C. team's office, right? The gorgeous man nods. Sure it is, didn't you see the sign on the door? You show him the blank face of the door. He scratches his head. Well, thats.. not right.. He looks around the hall, confused, then walks into the room and shouts. Say Darby, did someone forget to nail the place down or what? 'Cause it looks like everything just up and blew away out there. You head inside on the heels of the beautiful man, and see another, considerably less beautiful one leaning backwards in a small plastic chair. How the hell should I know? I just work here. His cyborg limbs whine audibly as he lowers the legs of his chair to the ground and looks up from his the girly mag. He raises one eyebrow at the handsome man and points at you with the mag. Whats with the twist? You can feel yourself blushing again, and he steps in front of you and raises his hands defensively. Its just the rookie. Its her first day so take it easy on her okay? Her name's.. Uh.. The cyborg shrugs and goes back to his magazine. The handsome man turns towards you. Say, what is your name anyhow? You rub the back of your neck sheepishly. Its Kendra Smith, actually. I thought I told you before? He looks thoughtful for a moment, then shakes his head. No, I don't think you did. Anyways, my name is Tash Varnell, and the skin job over there is Darby Fargo. He jabs one metal finger at Tash from over his mag. Hey, I find that term highly offensive, and I'll rip your fuckin' arms off if I ever you say it again. Fuckin' loudmouth. Tash gives him a dismissive wave. Ah, what does he know? He's just some old man. Anyways, come on with me and I'll show you around.

Tash shows you the rest of the office, a tiny headquarters for the team with only a few small rooms. You're mostly too busy staring at his face or his butt to bother hearing any of what he's saying, but you do manage to properly meet the rest of the team.

You see a tall, brown-haired man tightening something onto a slipsuit he has draped over one knee. His arms are well-muscled and he has a pair of square reading glasses perched on his nose. His face is honest and actually quite pretty, in a rugged sort of way, though you would still say Tash is much prettier. Thats Harrison. He's an institution around here. He's been our equipment guy since before even Darby was on the force, and that guy is older than dirt, believe you me. Harrison looks up from his work, grins winningly, and then goes back to his work. He might not seem much for talk, but thats just when he's working.

A young woman with dark-black hair sits at a computer terminal, typing away. You and Tash watch her work from a nearby doorway, and he whispers quietly. Thats Fay. Don't talk to her if you can help it. Seriously. She's fucking scary. You can give your transfer orders to her later. She turns in her chair to reach for something and you both duck behind the doorway, then creep away quietly when she finally goes back to her work.

A sharp-faced girl with bubblegum pink hair and a skewed black and gold beret on the top of her head is reclining on a short black leather sofa, and she looks up from the handheld game she is playing as you and Tash approach. She smiles softly and waves one delicate hand at you before turning her focus back to the game. And this is Char, everyone's favourite cop. She drives the panzer. Your mouth falls open as you look at the small, cheerful-looking girl lying on the leather sofa, and then imagine her driving an armoured police van through a crowd of protestors. Tash actually has to shake you before you manage to snap out of it.

You and Tash stand in the hall, and he hands you a canned coffee before pushing his credit slip back into the vending machine and punching in the same code. So.. He bends to grab his own can as it clatters down into the receiver bin. What do you think of the guys? He pops the tab on his can and sips it.

Be polite and vague, express interest in getting to know folk, and mention in a hinting manner what sort of equipment we're equipped with.

Uuuuuuhhhhh, not sure how to proceed in anime-fashion.

Serious: Weeelll, I'm not one for people chatter, unproffessional and all, but they seem like quite the gang of characters. It does strike me as curious though- I'd heard this assignment was rather dangerous. How does everyone deal with that? I must be one of a parade of new transfers...

Anime chick: Act all sheepish! Blush! "Well I'd rather not say, but" Dart eyes back and forth, SUDDENLY WIDEN EYES, LOOK BEHIND MR HANDSOME & POINT! "WHAT'S THAT?!" SNEAK AWAY WHEN HE'S DISTRACTED! Because, obviously, we have an enormous crush on him.
