Grizzly, stop it! I just want to be a normal cop, who totally doesn't lead a giant army of other cops into the final battle against the criminal underworld...

Damn! You flip your Vester back into its holster and key your mic, swapping over to the Wade City PD frequency while sprinting after the perpetrator. Mugging occurred in an alley just off 7th Street, Officer Smith currently in pursuit of the perpetrator! Request an ambulance to come pick up the vic! You cut the outgoing line without waiting for a response and keep running. The perp throws a glance back over his shoulder just before disappearing around the end of the alley. You jump the corner and spot him dodging into yet another alley. You chase him for some time, weaving through the maze of byways until you finally manage to gain on him. You leap, tackling him to the ground, and the two of you roll into a pile of discarded crates. He ends up on top and starts pounding your mug. Your head bounces off the pavement with the first punch, dazing you, but the next few shots are weak as the man bruises his knuckles on your helmet. You sense the opening and clock him good, sending him rolling off of you. You scramble to your feet and bury the toe of your boot in his gut, sending the air rushing out of him. He rolls over onto his side and clutches at his stomach, wheezing.

Name: Kendra Smith
Gender: Female
Appearance: She has long, brown hair thats usually drawn back into a ponytail, or a bun when she's wearing her slipsuit. She has intense purple eyes that practically see into you, and a very serious face. She rarely smiles even when she isn't on the job. Off-duty, she usually wears an immaculate business suit (with pocket square). Occasionally wears an old-fashioned P.I. suit, complete with a duster trench coat, and a small fedora.

Cuff him, and maybe hit him with the Battle Baton a few times, to make sure he stays down. "Lucky punk, some of the worse cops who on this beat would've just shot you in the back and made up some bullshit reason to justify it." Make that perfectly clear to him. Then radio in the following: "I've got a criminal, *description goes here*, who's guilty of a two one one, a two four zero, and a two four two, along with resisting arrest, at *insert location here*

(I'd say we might get promoted, if this wasn't literally just a mugger we pulled off of the streets. For anyone curious, I used the California police codes for robbery, assault, and battery in the radio message.)

You grab one of his wrists and pull it behind his back. He tries to roll over and you whip out your Battle Baton and crack him in the jaw with it. He hollers and blood spurts onto the asphalt along with at least one tooth. This time he doesn't resist when you put the plastic strip cuffs on him and haul him to his feet. You shove him into the closest wall and he spins around angrily, trying to take a step forward. You press the tip of your baton against his chest and he glares at you, opening his mouth to protest. Shut your yap bo, or do I need to sap you again? He grimaces and drops his head, moving back to lean against the wall. You lower your baton but keep it armed, then tune in. This is Officer Smith to WCPL, further on the two-four-zero on seventh. Perpetrator apprehended, requesting a boiler to bring him downtown. You wait a few seconds and a crackle precedes the deep male voice of the dispatcher booming over your helmet speakers. WCPL, roger that patrol, car on the way. The watch commander wishes I inform you that the victim was successfully retrieved. Good work. WCPL out. You blink-click the radio control back to emergency transmission only and drag the perp over to the street. A few minutes later a squad car hovers down and takes him in. The car whines and takes off back in the direction of the station. You pull the seals on your helmet and slip it over your head, wiping the sweat from your face and looking around for the street name. You're about halfway through your beat.

Smoke a cigarette, then proceed to walk the beat, keeping an eye out for a taxi driver who has seen it all.

Walk the beat.
Engage internal monologue, with male voice even though we are female.

I mag-lock the helm to my hip and slope on down to 12th ave, the cool breeze drying the sweat I worked up from showing that bozo who was tip-top in this town. The punk was lucky I didn't have to let any off else they'd be scraping his lousy mug off the plasti-crete. Next time he'd really be behind the eight-ball. It's only a hop skip and a jump before I find myself standing out in front of the station house. A couple of blues are propped up outside making rings, and they say 'how do.'

The beat is over. You made it back to the station without incident, though the internal monologue may have disguised that.
