Does history continue after the world generates?

Hi all, i am totally new to this game, but im already addicted as hell. I really like the legends mode because it brings the game world in that massive perspective. But i noticed one thing: I cant find any new events that took place after I entered the world (i can only find events connected to my activities in the world). So the random history around you does not continue after the world generates?
